☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆ ❃ Your in-game name: My in-game name is PerfectAlyssa and you can see my old usernames here. ❃ What timezone are you in? Singapore Standard Time, (GMT +8). ❃ What country do you live in? I live in Asia, Singapore. ❃ What languages do you speak? English is my main language, but I can speak and understand simple Chinese. ❃ Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc) Yes, I use game bar to record and YouTube to upload. I know how to take screenshots and use Imgur to change my screenshots to links. ❃ Why do you think you should become a mod? A huge reason on why I applied is to give back to MineVerse for being a safe place and home for me these past few years, and to the MineVerse community who have been nothing but a family to me. This is what motivates me to keep going, although most days on MineVerse can be tough due to the amount of toxic and rude players. I do not like seeing people dismissing and trash talking others as if they aren't important. MineVerse should be a community that can have fun playing with each other, and not a constantly toxic one. I will always try to improve this server to be better and less toxic. I would rather I be the one to not have fun if it meant that everyone else could. I admit I have been immature and unfriendly in the past, making a bunch of mistakes that I regret, but I have been working on being more mature and kind, and will always keep improving myself. I am constantly paying attention in chat for complaints of hackers or people who are breaking the chat rules. I always try to encourage the chat to be positive, telling others to calm down so that they do not accidentally break any rules. I do a bunch of reports, always making sure I report any hacker I see. I do a ton of reports and I understand how the MineVerse rules and the server works, but I will always check with someone or reread the rules to assure myself that I am fairly reporting the person. For my qualities, one of the best is my maturity, and I believe it is an essential trait you need to have to become a moderator, apart from the requirements to be or apply for one. I am respectful, professional, and able to control my emotions in all situations and always prepared for the unexpected when a person starts being rude or toxic. I am caring and always there if anyone ever needs someone to talk to, be it a friend or a stranger. I am helpful, friendly and welcoming to all types of players, always answering all kinds of questions that are asked. I am patient with others, and do not mind repeatedly answering questions that have been asked before, staying with the player to guide them through whatever they needed to know, unless my real life clashes with it. I am a fast typer, which is super useful for answering a bunch of people quickly, and as a moderator, you would get instantly bombarded with different kinds of questions and statements as soon as you log in. I can connect and communicate effectively with players in the chat, always trying to initiate a conversation with the online community. I am trustworthy, and I feel like the players deserves moderators that they can put their trust and faith in to care and help the server. I can have a sense of humor at some points in time (unless the conversation gets too toxic), which I believe can make the players feel more relaxed, comfortable and enjoy playing the game much more. I am unbiased, treating everyone fairly, even if I am close friends with them. I always hear both sides of the stories before making any public statements about it. I am down to earth, accepting other people as equals, and only act egoistic when it is a joke. I am extremely active on the discord and server, playing all types of game modes like Infection, Skyblock, OPpvp & Kitpvp. I do play Parkour, Survival, Factions, Skywars and Creative if there are players online as I do not want to be talking to myself. I am able to come on using MineChat when needed. I have a genuine interest in moderating, and not doing it just for the sake of it, so I won't get bored with it. I am dedicated to the server, and it is shown by the amount of work I put into it everyday, whether it be from the reports I make or helping new players start their journey on MineVerse. I work towards my goal, no matter how long or difficult it is. ❃ How long can you be active on the server everyday? I do not have a fixed schedule as I do go out and leave for holidays, but normally, it is 8 hours per day from 6 pm - 2:30 am. (including daily things like dinner, etc.) ❃ How long have you been playing Mineverse? I have been a part of the MineVerse community for 3 to 4 years. I have been back for over 4 months now after the announcement that Infection was coming back. ❃ Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game) I have only been falsely banned in-game by the anti-cheat and someone that was trolling had banned me. (was thankfully unbanned and that situation was solved!) ❃ Do you have any past experience as a moderator? No, I do not have any past experience as a moderator and this would make my first application on any server. ❃ Do you meet all Mineverse's requirements for staff listed below? Yes/No Do you have 50 Post Count? Yes Do you have Two Factor Authentication set up? Yes Have you had 2 Weeks registered on the Mineverse forums? Yes Do you have Skype and Discord for offline communication? Yes ☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆ You are free to message me on the forums or my discord if you have any questions regarding me or my moderator application.
100% support! Aly is extremely active and always polite and welcoming to new players. She's mature and would be very professional and unbiased as a mod. She's one of the most helpful and kind people I know and I would love to see her as a staff member. <3
Whatttttt! No support you lied to me on not applying :c Jks jks, very clear support. The amount of reports you do is actually crazy and you're active as heck so best of luck <3
While I do agree that PerfectAly has many positive traits that make her well-suited for the moderator position, EveramSyndicate raises a fair point. I see this application as an example of both your work ethic, and here I believe it's a poor one. I don't think you're representing the effort you can give very well. Neutral.
The longer your application is doesn't mean your chances of becoming moderator go up. I know alot of people who wrote next to nothing on their application and still got promoted, back when there were 1k+ players everyday. The section "Why do you think you should become a mod?" is about why the applicant think they should become a moderator, and usually it's the truth, and that may be only 3-4 lines. Back when people used to include their believed 'traits', that was considered good, but looking back, it didn't really convey their reasoning as to wanting to become a mod. So in all fairness, I do not believe length of application matters, it just comes down to whether the player is mature, non-bias, and believes that they're ready to take on the responsibilities of becoming a mod. Having said that, whether or not the community thinks that of the player is a different story, and therefore is allowed to voice their opinions. I'm sticking with a neutral rating though.
I'd like her to highlight some of her past efforts to help the server, and mistakes she may have made.
Support. You came to me not too long ago- concerned with something a certain member of the community was doing that involved the berating of other members. This showed me that you indeed are mature enough to talk about it first to find an explanation, rather than throwing that person under the bus directly. You have taken initiative with reporting people, as well as doing what's in your power to do what you can to help. Your application may be short, but I believe you have said, as well as showed everyone what you needed to show. Good luck.
Have you seen Chains mod app? The ability to put words together in a mod app doesn’t have anything to do with a persons ability to be a Mod. Mostly the long Mod apps are just meaningless dribble.
