OP-PvP glitched

I'm going to be real here, and no disrespect intended to Matt and Bman, I appreciate what you guys do for the server. This issue is not one to be taken lightly, especially when OP PvP is one of the gamemodes that is really keeping this server alive right now. This is the second time that this glitch has happened in the past 2 years, and the first time it happened, I can tell you that I was very angry when I lost my stuff along with a bunch of other people; it gives a HUGE advantage to those who happen to not log in to those who got reset. This should have not happened again, and should have been completely fixed the first time. There is obviously something wrong with the actual OP PvP files, and it is going to happen again if this problem is not found.

Also, I understand that the server itself is thousands of gigabytes big, but backup files are absolutely essential to run a server properly. What would happen if someone turned on the server and griefed it? With no backup files you are very screwed. Luckily that is not the issue we are faced with, but this issue is almost just as bad. There are unfortunately going to be huge consequences for this happening, including the losing players in our already declining player base.

I really hope you guys find a way to rollback the server, but if that cannot happen then might as well start from scratch on that game mode, it would likely get rid of the issue in the player data, so it does not reset the server for a third time.

Again, I'm not trying to be rude, and I'm sure you guys know way more than I do about the situation. I am just really disappointed that this has happened again and could potentially hurt the player base worse than it already was before this.

They wont rollback the server, only a handful of people were affected, they wont inconvenience the rest of the server to help a few.
I lost all my most valuable items in this glitch (sharp 40, $8300 balance, thorns sword and strength potions)
