Pay to win isn't fun. Servers are being black listed for not complying with the Eula. If the owner is surely in denial about this, then let it happen to mineverse.
I am not sure if you understand the concept. The EULA is destroying servers. Pay2Win is unfortunately a huge source of income for servers, and owners of these networks are paying thousands monthly so we can enjoy the server. Mineverse is a good server, and if you feel this way about it - maybe it isn't the server for you. -- Pretty sure Mineverse have complied with the EULA now, somehow. Well, they're still open and there is a section stating that capes were removed to comply with the EULA.
We're likely still not complying with the EULA. If we were, donor ranks would be removed by now to comply with this section of the EULA: Most of the servers would have also been reset to get rid of the donor-exclusive items. Source: https://account.mojang.com/documents/minecraft_eula
Cypriot and Noobcrew are finding ways to get Mineverse off the blacklist. I assume that they are going to get rid of the annoying kits and just add perks like pets, mounts, and armour* (*-In the lobby), and other stuff that doesn't give a disadvantage to other players.
We couldn't possibly be fully compliant with the EULA right now, ranks that provide in game advantages such as /heal are still being sold and that command still works.
minecraft is going to die out because of the EULA and people are going to host cracked minecraft servers
Ikr There are only 3 minecraft servers in the world which don't rely on donations. One of them just so happens to be Mineplex, since it's a minigame-based server, but it can't support every minecraft player out there. A lot of people are likely gonna quit.
Mineverse does rely on donations, yes, but since you can get irl money you could use in the minverse shop from just playing in-game it isn't pay2win, as anyone could get what people who pay get.
Yeah, that's true, MV isn't pay-to-win. Let me rephrase it. MV has donor ranks that give you unfair advantages over other players, which gives them money in process, which is in direct violation of the EULA. As a result, the donor system may have to be shut down, which would almost completely wipe out the income rates of the server, preventing it from paying it's maintenance expenses and therefore shutting it down. It's not really people paying for advantages EULA is concerned about, it's more concerned about MV profiting from it.
