I wasn't to sure where to put this but I wanna share the story of my life if thats ok. I was born in Barbados in 2000 March 1st. 2 years passed and i wasn't learning anything or couldn't speak and wasn't responding to my parents. They took my to New York for some tests and it turned out i was deaf. I got surgery for a Cochlear Implant and have had it since. About ever 3 years i get a new model and its helping me a lot but at the same time it makes my life hell. After the surgery i stayed in NY for about 2 months doing therapy and have been going back there every 3-4 months since (for a checkup). When i came back i did the usual.. preschool blah blah(these weren't to bad) but when i got into Secondary school (11) my school made my life hell. It was a quite popular school in my island but mostly Barbadians went there (Yes i am Barbadian but I'm Mostly Indian) I got bullied for 3 years (For multiple things racism,being deaf and not being as smart as others in speaking). I am currently in my 4th year of Secondary school but i transferred. Reason being was because i got suspended from that school for the most bullcrap reason. The bell had just wrung and i was proceeding to my next class and the usual bullies approached me. Started talking crap and threw my hearing aid somewhere. I got Suspended for 2 things. 1. Punching them multiple times and 2. skipping class (TO LOOK FOR MY HEARING AID). I now go to a private school where they understand me and I love it. I have caught up in a lot and have started to speak like others. Every once in a while i run into people i hate (from my old school). My life is quite amazing now. I have awesome parents who love me and support everything (almost) that i do. I have 2 younger brothers that are quite annoying. Other stuff could be... Last year when i was in Year 3 i didn't have many people who understood me, this is what made me grateful to my late sister. She was 19 and was in a car accident and died a while back but she tought me how to fight back and try to ignore others. The bullies i mentioned above btw, i tried to hurt them due to them insulting me on my late sister. This is practically how my life has been. Its all up and down. but i think I'm doing good in life now.
..... Glad to hear your life has changed, also if those people bully you again, beat the crap out of em. ;)
