The owner, or maybe even co-owner(?) are responsible to pay for the server. Therefore are they entitled to do as they wish. Maybe it's not on 1.7 for a reason. "Because its not my problem and I don't play this server anymore like I use to" Maybe it's not their problem to downgrade just for the need of some. Which as Elliot said, it was a mistake in doing so.
Honestly. As @AlexHandsLs said, people who never PvP'd on MV while it was on 1.7 will say no too this, he was correct, 1.7 is a blast!
... I don't believe you develop anything. I don't think you know how hard it is to make plugins compatible.. @Zulfqar How immature... Downgrading is exactly what you have to do to get a 1.7 server from a 1.8 server. The truth is, Mineverse won't downgrade as it's too large, and has too large of a playerbase to take down servers for the amount of time it would take to implement 1.7 in replacement of 1.8.
Oh my damn god Elliot. Mod menus for gta and Java sript plugins are hella different too this. No it isn't "downgrading" if you're basically making 2 versions compatable, and if it's "too large" how the hell do we have 1.10.2 and 1.9 on mv.
As you said, this is a discussion, therefore I'm entitled to my own opinion. Just because my opinion isn't the same as your, doesn't mean I'm dismissive. I just think it's not worth the risk. "too large of a player base to take down servers for the amount of time" Because it'll take quite a while for it to be downgraded, some people will loose interest, and be fed up with waiting. So in the process of 'gaining' more players, it might possibly just result in losing some.
Okay okay okay. Hold up <3 Cyp most likely has the plugins downloaded into a folder on his "file explorer : documents" or crew, it's not that hard too keep the server up, then edit the plugins and switch them out when they've been developped to allow 1.7 onto the server.

Like I said before ever since the server went 1.8 the server died so quick and still is dying.

Mod menus for GTA? I don't know what you're talking about here... ... I happen to mod on GTA V, does that make my a C++ developer? No. Java Script is used in web development, not in Minecraft development. Java. It's Java. Also, the server is 1.8. There is a protocol hack in place to allow 1.8+ to join. We'd NEED to downgrade every server's version / spigot to 1.7. Making the server unplayable until the process is completed. This could take AGES. I'll be locking this thread now. Seen as though arguments and disrespect has taken over.
