" You may want to rethink your words as they are completely untrue. In my opinion, I don't think your right for the job but thats just my 2 cents. EDIT: Why are specific double server mods able to ban anyone on the forums?
All right guys, enough is enough. This petty bickering and childish behavior is why most server owners hesitate to promote youth to positions of power. You have to pull up your big boy/girl pants and move on. The honesty in each person's true review of the mods will not be what gets this thread closed, this very immature behavior is what will do it. If this stuff continues, it will likely be closed before I get my post completely written. This thread is for constructive criticism, not bashing people. First off, I only play regular Prison so my comments will be based solely on that game mode. When I first started at MV, there tons of guards/mods in Prison. There were some that were helpful, but most couldn't care less about players needing help. Now, there is literally 1 active regular guard and that is @tin15cro. And before all of the others come on here and give me the whole "its a time zone thing" that's not true. Because like I said, I live on prison. I play with everyone, from every time zone. I get accused all the time of not having a life, which is fine. What they don't know is that this type of life chose me, via chronic illness. Anyway, you will get the occasional mod to come in that will jail one or two people, and make it to where the upper mods can do /seen and they look like they are active. But that's not even remotely true. For those making excuses that your life is too busy/hectic/rough, well then its time to step down. That is the mature thing to do, and says you are looking out for the best interest in the server, not just holding on to your title. @tin15cro I've been your biggest backer since you got mod. I think you really like your job and take it seriously. I have seen you grow as a mod and have been proud of the job you do. Lately I haven't agreed with some of your decisions, but I still love you and think you are a great mod. One thing I can recommend, when people come in and ask about the voter keys, how do you get a plot, (you know, the things people ask 1,000 times per day) I would like to see you help them out more. I know its not possible to catch all of them, but I think that makes mods seem more approachable and really makes a good impression for the server. @ScoFu13 is the type of mod that everyone should aspire to be like. He is professional, courteous, helpful, and knows his stuff. He scares the heck out of most people, which I find funny. :P You work full time and serve our country as well (don't know if you are active duty or guard). You are on the forums a ton. I know you cannot get in game during work hours, and you do the best you can with the time you have got. @Noobcrew and @CypriotMerks I know these tags will not catch you, but maybe you will be surfing this thread and read my input. Noobcrew, I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of having any interaction time in-game with you. You likely come in invisible, which I completely understand. You guys get swarmed anytime your names pop up in chat or on /list. CypriotMerks, I have had some play time with you and you are very good with all the players. You are patient and let everyone know that you will get to them as soon as you possibly can. Even though most of the players don't see or understand that, I do. Ever since I started playing on Mineverse, this has become my Minecraft home. I want this place to be the best it possibly can be. I have offered several times to help out in anyway that y'all will allow me to help. I don't know if y'all just haven't seen my offer, or just don't want the help. I have a ton of experience with online gaming and know all of the behind the scenes stuff can get overwhelming. I have a lot of ideas that could really help this community and would love to help out. You can PM me, or I'm sure y'all can see my personal contact info that I have saved in my profile, if y'all would ever take me up on that offer. And yes everyone else, before you state the obvious, I do have a Mod application up. No, I'm not sitting here trying to butter up the owners to get a position. I'm genuinely trying to help this server and community out.
I'm sure you probably do this already, but keep a notepad file with answers to common questions handy on a secondary monitor. I use something like this for most of my Moderator Application reviews and have used something similar as a Moderator in the past. It is extremely useful to be able to respond rapid-fire to many of the most common questions. Obviously the list needs to be updated periodically, but a simple copy+paste to respond to players is awesome.
Below are a few one-liners I have for Skyblock. I don't have my full list as I am on my work PC, but I had an old copy laying around. - Voter keys can be used on the "Voter Crate" located at spawn. You will receive money/items in exchange for your keys. - Doing /vp does not trigger a Voter Party. Instead, players must /vote or the counter stays the same. - Whenever going to a player's warp for the first time, do not take any items with you to prevent deathwarps. - Please try to avoid consecutive spams of the same text. Two tends to be plenty, more is spam.
Here is my review about most mods: @HeyitsAlexa You are a really kind, funny, and friendly mod and you know when to stop fooling around and get to work. Your also very active! @PrincessPayne Your one of my best friends on mineverse and one of the most active mods that I see on everyday! @ScoFu13 Jokes aside; You are the best and most serious/mature mod in MV and you deserve the title "head mod" I see you helping a lot of people and your very active in the help section. I never see you in-game (timezones) but also because of your work. Your in the military so that is the only excuse I know of that is actually valid but you make up for it on forums! @PandaBear__ I don't know a lot about you other than the fact that your really nice to all members and you always keep your cool unlike a lot of players on MV. @Firo3000 Sadly I don't play with you at all but on forums your always helpful and friendly! I will add more tomorrow because I'm really tired rn :P
Ive actually been looking for a program like an older one we used at the place where I owned gaming leagues. It was called KeyText. You could input phrases like those, and just use a hotkey and it would automatically type out that stuff for you. That program was awesome. I lost my key for it and don't want to purchase it again. Im actually looking for a free one that is half way decent. Haven't had much luck yet.
http://www.keybreeze.com/ A co-worker of mine wrote it and I've used it for years. I use to store E-mail templates in it so I could bang out e-mails in less than a minute. Basically you set a keybind to activate the prompt window then can use keywords you define to perform various actions. (Em1, Em2, Em3, Chrome, Minecraft, etc) EDIT: Forgot to mention its open source so it's free.
I agree for the most part but @Agent Android is a awesome mod and your obviously only saying tat because of the argument you had with him further up in chat so stop judging by feeling and look at how they are as a Mod or atleast re-consider what you deem to be immature. :D
