I love how you disagree with this thread yet before you were promoted to moderator you were on infection doing #MoreMods with several other people. Like really TADS? Such a Hypocrite ;) Also there are plenty of great applicants that would make amazing moderators. It would be a great idea for Cypriot to promote 2 Server mods which would be a Trial Mod position. Then Cypriot can see if a applicant he promoted is truly ready for Mod Also what he could do is promote all the applicants that are ready and then begin the method I explained
The reason there aren't enough mods is because there aren't many good applicants (note that I said not many, meaning there are some) Just my opinion, but what is Cyp supposed to do? Promote random people who are not trustworthy or have no idea what they're doing? Sometimes you have to look at this from his perspective to actually know why we are lacking mods. As for the actual discussion, yes we are lacking mods. I wish there was a way that both the owners and the players could finally settle on a good amount of mods, but there will always be people that are not satisfied. 5 new mods were just promoted, and if that doesn't satisfy you, then sorry.
I don't know if I should apply for mod i'm usually on just op factions and gta, moderating both these gamemodes would help, especially gta :D
It happens. Let them be. As a mod, you have the right to tell them to stop doing your job. Other players, however, can not. They are there to enforce the rules, when a mod is not around. It's a good thing. I'll admit, when I was a mod I rarely noticed mini-mods. Probably because I don't really mind the help. The more help the better. Only thing that does/would annoy me if someone was trying to do this, yet giving wrong warnings. (This is also a good thing, as most mini-mods actually have applications up. This allows me to give them some feedback on them to become more aware of the rules and help them overall). With the person above who stated that Cyp should just promote. Have you looked at the current applicants? There are barely any, if any that would do a good job as a moderator. Sure, there applications looks the part, but it goes further. You have to know how they act in any situation. This means viewing their replies on the forums and checking how they are in-game. This is why our current moderators suggest people, for the head-mods to look into. If they also agree, then they'll notify Cyp to check on them. If he likes what he sees, then the applicant will be promoted.
I do not agree, yes people do get scammed and i have been through this situation before and It is not because of the MV Staff team and they are not aware of the Many people that play and what they do. Its just some people do bad things for in-game items. I think the MV Staff doing a excellent job and congratz @Herf at mod, Best Wishes
I agree to some extent, as a lot of the moderators are in different timezones to a lot of the players, and this causes problems. The staff are as dedicated as can be, just you cannot expect a staff member to be on 24 hours a day ;).
I feel like there are already some really good Moderators if the MV Staff team but some of them need to be more active. Just my opinion and I think Cypriot knows this problem and is doing what he can to fix this problem
I think there should be less mods - if there are too many corruption will be common. The few mods who do play should be very active and take their job seriously.
Gravedug. Thread locked for failure to adhere to forum rules and responsibilities. If you disagree to this action, please report this post, and a moderator or administrator will reconsider it. Kind regards, The Staff
