My suggestion is that moderators have an option to make themselves invisible on Tablist. I don't know if this is hard to put on Mineverse. But if it's not, I think we need it. Hackers usually toggle off when a mod joins. Maybe they should have a command, like /tabv or something. Reasons on No support and Neutrals would be appreciated @xBMAN [EDIT] Maybe only allowed to be invisible when looking for hackers.
So it depends. If it makes it it so people can't message the mod then no support. If a mod can't be seen on tab usually when someone gets on they say their name in chat which can also give them away. . I'm not sure if there honestly is a good way for mods to hide but still be around. Newer players wouldn't understand why they couldn't find a moderator on the game mode they joined and I can't tell you how many times I was sought out by a new player in-game. It would be nice for catching hackers, but it can cause other problems too.
People can still message the moderator, but he's just not on the tablist, its like hes fake offline, but people can still message him. They are only allowed to be invisible when looking for a hacker. But they are usually not invisible. If that makes sense
It makes complete sense. I'm only iffy for new players looking for a moderator. If /staff says there are somewhere but they can't see them online they won't think to try and /msg them if they don't appear as online.
New players will be able to find moderators, because the mods will not always be in vanish. Most of the time they are there, they will be on normal mode. But it's only when someone says something like "Can you come in kitpvp2, there is a bhopper namer *Name*. New players will definitely find a moderator
would be impractical, no support. if hackers toggle off when mods are online, mods should always stay online actively.
Thank you Moderators can't always be on. They have other things to do in life. They don't get money for being a moderator. So it is impossible that moderators can always be on.
Although this makes absolute sense, I don't think this would help anything. The whole point, from what I read, is to prevent hackers from knowing there is a moderator online, thus making it easier for moderators to catch hackers. But, there are many ways to bypass this system*, if it were to be implemented, to find out if a moderator is online or not. But, this would avoid the main way of finding if a moderator is on or not, which is the player list, or I like to call it the Tab list. I guess it will prevent the easiest solution to finding out if a moderator is on or not, but yet hackers will find another way to bypass the system. If anything, besides having this entire system to have many leaking points within the system, adding /vanish would be much easier. For those reasons, I cannot support this suggestion. This was very well thought of a system, but I don't think it will work. Good luck. *I am not saying publicly how to bypass this system.
There are multiple and more than enough moderators on the server, I'm sure they can have one or more concurrent moderator(s) on the server.
There are some moderators, you're right. But there are also multiple gamemodes. Is there any other reason to not add the /v command?
100% support. Most hackers toggle off their hacks or leave as soon as a mod comes on. This would be a great way to catch hackers. There is a small backfire however. There are 2 different glitches i know of that can be used to see people in vanish. Shouldn't be too much of an issue since barely anyone knows how though.
