Well, don't get me wrong. I am very happy the forums fixed the sign up glitch. But now, the mod applications are filled with new members applications. They all say that they are active but the sign up was glitches, so my suggestion is that you must be active member to apply. Why we should have this: Reason 1: It's difficult to find the great applications and people who really deserve the position, because there application is buried under the new members application. Reason 2: Most of them don't actually know the server, or the rules, as I have seen people advertising the application, not using the reply button or edit button, and it needs to stop. Reason 3: A lot don't use the template, or other people's advice. They say that they are perfect, and don't listen to anyone.
idfc if you're active member or new member, mods shouldn't be promoted because they're active on forums but because they're active in game, look at all the mods we have, all of them were promoted because they're really active on the forums but how many of them do you see in game everyday? none, because all of them are inactive b**** who doesn't play in game eventho they said they were active about 5 hours a day in their mod app.
No support. Just because you don't have the "Active Member" tag (Nothing to do with just being active) doesn't mean you should be able to not apply for mod. Many good applicants are not Active Members. If you mean making it Member, that would be a good goal. I've been here for 9 months, just getting Active Member, does that mean I wasn't active? No.
No support. New Member +. I agree with thorrak's statement. Haven't seen any Infection Mods online for days. Are there even any Creative Mods? Never see any Moderators online, and just because they are active on Forums doesn't mean anything.
I disagree with you for a reason. Having active member means you have been on the forums for a while, showing that you most likely know the rules.
Although I am one of those brand new people to the forums, I was actually going to make my own suggestion post regarding mod applications and their supporting post. This was one of the issues I was going to highlight as far as how people were rating applications as opposed to sticking to the suggested criteria for supporting views. I would be the dissenting view to your suggestion though. You can't punish the new people for the forum registration issues. We are new and there is a learning curve for some of the forum's functions. Bear with us; we are all noobs at some time or another. I started playing skyblock in late May 2015 and have been active there exclusively. I tried signing up for the forums then and multiple times in between and bugged a few mods. I tried emailing [email protected] to ask if they could make an account for me on the back end, but was told the forums were going to be back up soon enough. In the near 4 months that I have been on mineverse, the forums have only been accessible for a few days. The one thing that hasn't changed for skyblock server at least, is the need for additional mods on the skyblock server. I don’t know how it is for any of the other servers though. The more applications the better a pool to choose from. We have several players that would be great mods for skyblock despite the lack of forum access. The other critiques can come another day with their own thread. There is a difference between constructive criticism like mentioned here, and petty attacks that might discourage what normally could be a worthy mod.
How do you think I feel? I've almost been here for 2 years, only reason I applied on my day 1 was because I had played on skyblock.net before that. It's how long you've played, not your forum rank
I think it should be Member and above, because I've been trying to get Active member for a long time, but look at me. :( I support if you change the rule.. :P
