I love this idea, and have helped many with their appeals and their 'cases' before. I would love to see this become official.
    So much support :)
    A brilliant idea you have!

So, the 'Mineverse Lawyer' determines whether the evidence is valid or not?

I believe their job is proving innocence where it exists.

Maybe help, or help gather counter-evidence.

What I'm wondering is what's stopping a player from doing this themselves?

I love how much effort you put into this, it's very creative.
    But
I don't support this. The fact that they could edit threads isn't a good idea in my opinion. This would require a lot of trust.

No support. Like Torch said, we look at all sides of a report before we take any action. And as far as gathering counter-evidence, unless you have a video at the exact same seconds in time as the evidence that was given in the first place, counter-evidence doesn't exist. Usually if a player that was banned happened to be recording at the same time the person who reported them was, they will supply us with the video. No 3rd party needed.

If you could have music in the back round in your thread, the law and order song would be amazing.
    I'm sorry

This is a tough one, I can see a lot of advantages but some disadvantages. Though there are more advantages so, support

If a staff member intensionally bans a player without evidence, that staff member could go inactive until everything settles or ignore the ban appeal (and own up, not needing a Mineverse lawyer). If this happens the player can use a Mineverse lawyer to find out what's going on with that staff member and if that staff member has no evidence the player will be unbanned. Of course another moderator can do this, but the more the better?

Only titles upon moving, tagging, or archiving. Not actual posts.

    Thank you, everyone.

If a staff member has falsely banned someone without evidence you can report them for doing so. I still do not see where a mineverse lawyer is needed.

If a staff member refuses to show evidence to someone who believes there is no evidence, then this rule has been breached by the member of staff : Furthermore, if a banned user thinks his/her ban was false, evidence must be shown to them.
