Downsides of the trident 1 less Hotbar placement Only 6.25% of drowned mobs have a trident and there is only an 8.5% drop rate. With a huge Drowned afk farm you get 1-2 tridents per hour. When you do get one it may have 0/251 durability. Low durability. Requires another trident to repair. The trident version of sharpness only works on sea creatures. Doesn't work on players nor does it work on Drowned, the mob you get it from. PvP with a trident and you're screwed. Pros You can go 7ish blocks per second. A whole extra block faster than with DS3+speed (speed doesn't work with tridents). You can kill water mobs faster. Depth strider 3's only drawback is the "rarity" of the enchantment. At the time the features were added s3 allowed you to travel 4 blocks faster in the water whereas the trident only allows you to travel 1 block faster.
I like how this thread turned into a suggestion to update the server to 1.14 and the positives and negatives of it.
Hun, tridents were made to be a rare item first off. Second off, it doesn’t take durability to use the riptide enchantment unless you hit someone. Thirdly, you are given an off hand for a reason, use it. Fourthly nobody said a thing about pvp with a trident, we are talking about traveling (trident vs depth strider 3). Fifthly, you can fly when it rains and you don’t need rockets for your elytra. Sixth, you can use this awesome enchant called mending to repair it and then you never have to get another trident if you’re careful enough. Also if you tested this, did you take off your depth strider boots because there is a bug where if you wear depth strider boots and use riptide, you don’t go as far. Also you can propel yourself out of the water with a riptide trident. Well I do agree that tridents are garbage for pvp, when it comes to ocean travel, they beat depth strider by a land slide.
Maybe if the noobcrew gets his @** in gear and resets survival, but right now I’m playing on a whitelisted server that’s 1.14
Please Noobcrew I BEG YOU. Bring back the old Opprison! The one we all Loved!! I BEG OF YOU #bringbackOldOpprison
is anything going to change like the survival and or skyblock economy or is the same crap gonna happen again and we get another reset?
Probably just the same crap. Hell I doubt they’d even add the new 1.14 items to the shop. I’ll call it now. If survival resets this is what will happen. -Everyone will join with high hopes and old players will reunite -People start to notice bugs and glitches or realize ranks are stupidly overpowered because of commands -People then ask for those to be fixed -They never get fixed and people start to realize this sucks (they also get bored cause they build a house and got full diamond armor and think there is nothing left to do) -they leave and server dies. -the end
Bug reports get looked at often and get fixed quite quickly ;) Examples of Skyblock bugs fixed the past 2 months: - /pay - /bal [user] - /sell all - crate rewards (diamond pickaxes, iron, enderchests etc) - rare voting rewards (trails, particles, keys, ...) Some bugs are harder to fix than others such as vines not working. That's related to the anticheat being too sensitive. And I think we all agree we shouldn't make it less sensitive  Some gamemodes also get prioritised over others. For example is OP, Kit and Skyblock prioritised over Parkour, Creative2 and Factions
Does the transportation section in the shop on survival work yet? Hasn’t worked since day one. Does /wild work yet? Did y’all increase the bal cap yet from 50mil? It took months for the end to start working again and to be reset. Did y’all ever fix the player dungeons/mob arenas? How long did it take the parrots at spawn to be massacred? I bet you still can’t get zombie pigmen spawners out of the legendary crates. Sorry but I have to disagree, most bugs I notice, do not get fixed or at least not for months on end. I mean, not even related on survival, we are still waiting for infection, and yes I know he’s still trying to contact the original developer.... cause it takes two years to do that. Also as for prioritizing gamemodes, I remember the days when survival had probably three times as many players as op pvp did. But it’s because players got bored and stuff never got fixed that they left.
