I Have been looking over the rules over and over and finally decided to make this post A lot of you may know that I reported a staff member for impersonating an admin, When I had a hacked client showing in a photo no illegal action was presented no hacks were on and I surely didn't use them, of course I was banned anyways. Let me answer one question that most of you might have. "Well how will a mod know that no hacks were on?" But you are using a hacked client to run your game. Still counts as using in which you deserved to be banned.
Yes, No hacks were enabled/showed . Like I said up there it was not being used so there for was not against the rules
The way that Cyp has it worded in the rules and faq, Is that if I use it or give my self any advantages over another player then and only then should I have been banned.
If you aren't using hacks then you wouldn't even have the client booted up. If you open your launcher with the hack client YOU ARE using it.
Hello. The server doesn't care about how hard you hacked or what you used while you were on hacks, it's the fact that you're using a hacked client that you were banned. Having one on is the exact same as using one, regardless of what you're using it for or if you're using one at all. The reason this is bannable is because many mods which aren't visible can be used for things that are unfair, but they don't pop up on your 'array list'. Another reason you were banned is because so easily you can just toggle a hack, and it's not like the mods are supposed to know. It's better to be safe then sorry. Long story short, no one should have a client on unless they wish to face a ban.
So what if you are running a hack client and make it undetectable (turn off arraylist and all water marks) :t :t Also what if you are using a client strictly for optifine this is silly I've heard of server admins in most servers getting hacked clients to find xray tunnels. I think having a hacked client on should be allowed
Are you kidding? I've used a hacked client a few years ago and it was nice. I loved that you could have the health tags on and there was also optifine. But just because you aren't using any actual hacks you could easily turn them on with a click of a button. Also the health tags DID give me an unfair advantage cause I could compare my health to theirs. I totally admit I used to use hacks on another server. If you guys know the server SG Network (its not big anymore but i used to be) I used x-ray to find tunnels and then i got banned. I therefore learned my lesson never to use hacks. Now I just use Optifine!
Q6. Can I use a hacked client? A. No. You were still using it by logging on with it. Also using a hacked client but not using any hacks, I doubt that. If it's true though just login with a legal client.
