Stress. A word people use when they feel mad, sad, or nervous. A word people use when they're overwhelmed with emotion. I have some friends who go through a lot of stress and depression. I usually either talk and cheer them up or I give them an inspiring quote. As for me, and I'm sure many others as well, I hate seeing my friends down. Not only does it already hurt them, but it starts hurting you by not being able to hang out and talk to them. A solution to this in my opinion is to make stress your friend. Stress isn’t always bad. Stress within your comfort zone can help you perform under pressure and motivate you to do your best. But when stress becomes overwhelming, it can damage your health, your mood, your productivity, your relationships, and your quality of life. What is Stress? Stress is a physical response when the body or mind is challenged. All stress isn't bad. There are two types of stress: Eustress (Positive Stress) and Distress (Negative Stress). Examples of Eustress: Throwing a party, baking a cake, getting a job promotion, first time on a roller coaster; anything that keeps you excited. Examples of Distress: Tests, Homework, projects, loss of a family member, loss of a favorite item; anything that makes you feel closed in. You want to have more of the eustress rather than the distress. Eustress is important to have in our lives. Without it, we would become depressed and probably think that there is no meaning in life anymore. It keeps us healthy and happy. Here's an example: Say you have a big test coming up, you would probably be stressing out. Your heart could be pounding or you could be breathing faster. Janice are even human? Because I've never met anyone as kindhearted as you, lol. ^^ I consider people like you and I rare in this world My life is the definition is stress, haha. Stress for everyone is unpredictable and inevitable. Once you're 18, you're own on your own.. And it's just constant bills until you die basically. The real question to ask here, is if you're strong enough to handle a lot or not Because if you're not strong, stress will always destroy :P
Thank you so much Steve It's true. Stress is unpredictable... and oh great.. can't wait till I'm 18 xD
Great advice to those feeling really stressed. Thanks to you for helping out a person in need. Whenever I feel stressed like homework or tests or anything I can look back at your forum posts. Thank you I will always remember it in the future. I'm passed 18 years old and still didn't move out just yet, I'm going to college soon and getting a job afterwards, it depends when I'm moving out
Oh no, I'm depressed and stressed D: let me come to a forums and a block game where I'm hated by everyone ;3 This isn't tumblr.
I know this isn't tumblr. I wrote this for people who need it. I love to help people and doing things like these really makes me and others happy.
Stress isn't really "being mad, sad, or nervous." Stress is it's own emotion and feeling. Denial doesn't help, denial can actually lead to some seriously negative things (which you want to stay away from). Stress can't possibly be positive, but what it can be is a gate to positive. You can practice to turn the energy you get from stress, and convert that energy to do something productive.
Some stress is. Say you're about to go on stage to preform a play. You would feel nervous or "stressed out". Then again, it is as well with emotion and feeling. However the emotion is shown more when you are depressed. Thanks for the information. ^.^
Although I'm not allowed to be heating healthily at the moment, I found this post really helpful and I think lots of other will too ^-^ Honestly Janice you're so kind-hearted you make these forums slightly brighter every day :p
