I didn’t play mp often, but I knew they did something dumb, and their player base is now a small fraction of what it used to be. Hy then overtook it.

 

That's exactly what happened.

 

But its still going strong. I'v seen 10k-15k couple of times over the last couple months

 

Uh, it's lost most of the players it originally had so it isn't really that great.
