A guy on kit was clearly hacking and Ace wouldn't ban him. He said he can't or something. People get kicked by the console when they aren't even hacking!! I got kicked for "HAcking inventory" and so did many others.. Idek what that is. I was just organizing my inv in kit.
If I'm being honest I'm not even sure if janice herself has the ability / perms to mess with the anticheat, I know that certainly this is the same with everyone else on the staff team. The only person I know for sure can do any of this is crew himself, and he is trying. It isn't that easy. Not to mention it is literally impossible to implement a working anticheat, I have seen plenty of bhoppers and even people using tp aura on the largest servers there are. The reason the anti-cheat is like this is because of false readings, and crew wanting to give people a chance to turn off their hacks. This doesn't quite work now since it can't really consistently kick, but as I said it is being worked on. Putting in a temporary anti-cheat that works would not only be pointless but also take more time then it would for us to fix it. .... I really hope this part is satire.
Yea, now the anti-cheat is a bit broken. I got kicked 3 times from kit pvp for hovering, whatever that is.
there has been lots of debate for an anti cheat that auto bans. when i talked to @Janice999, she said she is looking into options that does not auto ban because she believes many would be falsely banned. either way an anticheat would be nice.
If someone gets autobanned for 9+ block reach that’s not false at all.. Also a false bhop ban? I don’t know, I don’t think auto bans for those reasons in specific would be anywhere near ‘false.’
its more complicated than that. its not a false bhop ban, its a false flying ban because that person was lagging out and was flying sort of thing. the mineverse team wants to avoid any false bans as possible to keep their small player count up and going. either way, an anticheat would be nice, its just the matter if the player base wants a auto ban or not.
