So I have a question for the players and staff members of mineverse. It's about the mod called labymod. Pretty much what it does is put 1.7 animations into the 1.8 gameplay along with a ton of other features. Including adding friends, being able to talk to them, optifine, armor status, shows ping, server IP, coords, direction, and many other things. I was just wondering if this mod is allowed and not illegal. Thanks
Ability to set keybinds. Eg. You could set 'Y' on your keyboard to /tpyes ect. It's quite useful, but I'm pretty sure it's still bannable. I'm not 100% sure though, you'd have to clarify that with a.mod.
Well, I mean Nanurz made a thread that clarifies this question your asking, but yes if it does help you in PVP, it is not allowed.
As long as it doesn't help you in pvp it is allowed. If it does then no you will get in trouble for using it. Hope this helped, Signed, SnakeVenomPvP
So I did a bit of research into the mod, and this is what I found. If you would like the link to the actual post, PM me and I can give it to ya. " It's important to note here that we are not accusing the creators of Labys Mod of nefarious intent, and they've been quite friendly with us. However there is enough to cause enough concern for action due to the following factors. The Mod sends your Minecraft session token to a remote server operated by them. A session token generated upon login and can be used to spoof your identity and log onto any server as your account. The Mod changes how you send data to the server regarding attacks - and is not "visual animations only" as is the widespread understanding of the mod This is functionality that 100% falls under the "Hack" category, regardless of intent. The Mod contains functionality that allows any files to be downloaded from a remote server to the user's computer without consent as well as some files being uploaded from the users computer. Again, it's very important to note that we are not accusing the creators of the mod of having evil intent, however the bottom line is as follows. Manipulation of how the client sends attacks to the server is something that we 100% consider under the hack category. Any modifcation of how your client interacts with the server is a "hack" regardless of intent behind it. The Mod sending your Session token as well as the file deployment functionality is cause for concern on a security level. The remote deployment of files to your computer could potentially be used for very bad purposes. " In simple terms, they are saying that you have possibly given them access to your account.
