I'm looking to buy a new computer and I want to get opinions on the ones I've picked out, or even hear some suggestions. If you know what brands/companies have good PCs and know which specs to look for and wish to help me, feel free to reply.

This is my first time buying a computer, and I'd like opinions from people that know the field more before I make any hard decisions. And again, if you have a suggestion feel free to share it.

What's the fps you're getting from it?

I mostly play fps games on PC. What are the specs you recommend for that, or other recommendations?

I've been told this before. I'm just hesitant on building it myself.

 

Which specific games. Different shooters have different recommended specifications. Although usually the recommended specifications are low, and so won't cause you too much money. 4-8GB of RAM, storage is irrelevant (SSD is always faster, but more expensive), etc.

 

Like CODWW2, SWBF2, OW, Titanfall2, Battlefield. Those types of games.

 

What is your budget?

If its his first time buying a pc building it would be very hard to build for him unless he has someone to help him along.

Pre builds are find just do some research on the components inside the pc and look at the reviews and customer feedback from people who have bought the desktop/laptop you're looking at. I bought my desktop over 2.5 years ago from cyberpower and it runs all the new games fine max settings. Specs are Gtx 970, i7 6700k. 2t hd. 16gb ram. I also bought my laptop recently from them too. Its specs are gtx 1060, i7 7700hz 6gb. 16b ram. 500 gb hd. Also are monitors taken into account in your $1,000 budget? Those can be expensive. My desktop itself was $980, note that was almost 3 years ago. Also adding two monitors, a keyboard, mouse raised the price to $1400.

My desktop averages around 300-500 fps on mc. Laptop gets around 400-600.

 

All you need for gaming is.

GeForce GTX 1060, 50, 40. or 80.

and a i7 and SSD if you like.

 

Just the tower, or a monitor too? If you wait until it gets closer to Christmas, Newegg usually has some decent deals going on.

Better CPU, CPU cooler, can overclock well, better case, PSU has more wattage, PSU is fully modular, PSU is known for reliability, CPU has 2 more cores, higher RAM speed,

Still better CPU cooler, and case.. The fact that you pay almost a grand and dont get a 240mm aio.. Lol

 

I mean, if you are trying to purely do stuff on a budget, I would recommend trying to pick up some 2nd hand parts, rather than buying brand new. You'll always encounter cheaper options that way, allowing for slight upgrades to certain hardware.

 

if u can i highly suggest building a pc because prebuilts are sometimes more expensive for what they're worth and you can actually build a pc of the same specs that of a prebuilt and it'll be cheaper

but if ur really nervous about entering that territory then ye get a prebuilt
