It says here: https://twitter.com/Marc_IRL/status/471762881243918337 Selling an in- game item(s) [Mob Spawner] is violating the Terms of Service in the game. If profit is made from an item that is from the base game it is a rule violation... so shop.mineverse.com needs updating to not be violating rules.
I assume you are both confused by what TOS means, it stands for "Terms Of Service" Anyway, I'll give my say on this shortly.
But what if action is eventually taken, shutting down servers? A majority of us will be stuck playing vanilla Minecraft servers, such as No-Plugin SMP's (Survival Multi Players), and if a server wanted a minigame, redstone would be the only way of making something stand out.
Correct. Not to mention, reading the entire conversation, that Mark mentions the TOS has some gray areas regarding the marketing, that would hopefully get fixed in the future. Knowing Mojang, they'll probably discuss what to do, and update the terms. It may restrict a few things, but everything should recover and find a loophole, like what we've done. Hopefully everything is dealt with in that conversation. If any key parts in that conversation arise, I'll be sure to mention it, so we can discuss procedures.
