Hello. As most of you already know, Infection is an amazing and fun mini-game. But there is a current complication regarding it; and that is it's maps. There is nothing wrong with the mini-game itself, it is very unique and exciting, but there is a lack of entertaining and well made maps. In the Infection mini-game chat, there are always players complaining about the maps on the server, and I would agree with them that the current maps do not reach the standard of that of a good or great map.

This is not a situation that is impossible to fix, since there are many methods of making new maps. These methods and solutions include:

1. Setting up a build team to make maps. Many players would be more than willing to construct a map and see whether it is worthy of being put into the Infection mini-game.

2. Having a server competition/event hosted on the forums, where the best map or three maps would win a prize of something suitable. This is by far the best way of receiving new maps, because many players need motivation to make a map, and receiving a prize has the potential of giving many players the determination and motivation that they are searching for. Not only will having a competition give players the motivation they need, it will also help make many more new and suitable maps for the server. This is definitely an efficient and player-friendly method of getting more maps, whilst having fun.

3. There are many more methods that can be thought of, but those two would be the most suitable.

Now, this suggestion is not a rant or complaint against the server, it is simply a way to try help make some new maps on the server. With new and improved maps, many new players will join the community and enjoy it more.

Yes, I would assume it has been suggested, but nothing has been done in order to sort this problem out. That is why I have alerted the server in addition to the other suggestions, because we need to ensure that the people who can make a difference are informed that something needs to be done.

 

There have been a lot of threads similiar to this.

That being said, I do agree that we need more maps. However, you and others are more than welcome to submit Infection maps for Mineverse in the Ideas & Suggestions section.

Also, I think a map building competition is a wonderful idea. ^_^
