What if... alphas were picked BEFORE the game but weren't made alpha until the game actually started?

Ok so a little background on this suggestion. A new player joined and commented that since (sometimes) all 3 alphas are chosen within a big group of people, the group will simply get wiped out. My idea is that the alphas that get chosen will get some sort of symbol by their name (ONLY ON NAMETAG) and not in tab or in game chat. This way the players can escape the chosen alphas and the alphas will not know who the other alphas are (or if they are alpha) until the game actually starts. This could reduce the number of kills and the number of players who always need to be cautious while in a big group.

Support, it would then be more fair for humans.

No support. A player can just leave and there'll be less alphas. If they're chosen to be alpha and they're p10 or something, they can just wipe out the top spots more easily, because they're prepared.

This would ruin the whole point of the selection. Also, If were picked before the game then they wouldn't be able to kill people they are standing near when the alphas are picked. There would be a hard time trying to kill people.

I do not understand what you're trying to suggest. What I understand is that the players will choose at the start of the round which player they wish to be alpha.

Then, when the game starts, the players selected to become humans will see the symbol on the alphas nametags and run away from them. But, if you're the alpha zombie, you wouldn't see the symbol on the nametags of players. Therefore, you will know instantly that you're alpha and run after groups of players.

But, there are some players that want to become zombies instantly. For those players that want to become zombies, they will chase after the alpha zombie and camp them. This could increase the zombie population, and make the game lengths shorter than they are.

There is a lot of information missing in this suggestion. Here are some examples of the details missing:
      • What will be the voting command for the humans?
      • Will the chosen alpha zombies be able to spot the symbols on random players to make it seem like they aren't alpha zombies?
      • Would players be able to be repeated in the alpha zombies chosen? (<-- If there isn't a repetition, it will prevent the players wanting to become alpha zombies to chase after the humans in groups, which could ruin your suggestion completely.)
I cannot support this idea, because of the lack of information to this idea and the whole concept of the idea. I personally prefer the randomizing of the alpha zombies.

Good luck with the suggestion! :D

No, alphas will still be chosen at random, it's just that the anyone knows anyone's roll EXCEPT FOR YOUR OWN. Makes it more fair to avoid a mass murder with a P10 alpha in the middle of a large group.

I actually love how zombies come out of nowhere and it's just a massive bloodbath and it's all chaos. I know a lot of people die from this but a nerfing of the kits will help this. Plus, people who want to be humans and stay as humans will just leave so others get chosen and they leave and yeah it's not fun.

No support. It will make the game too unfair to the humans. "lets all go hide in [op spot]" then none of them getting infected makes the game so much harder.

Thats the reason. It's supposed to simulate a zombie outbreak. If it happened in real life or like on ANY zombie film you get in large groups and someone gets infected.

No support, a player that is going to be alpha is just going to follow you and kill you welhen the game starts.
