1.) New players don't really have a chance to get anything from the /shop 2.) Voting gives you barely any money $15 a day, when some items cost up to $50 3.) This takes all the fun out of skywars to me, I have Titan rank and honestly I am quite bored of using /shop 4.) This used to be a great skywars server before all the OP Items were added to the shop, Adding all these items makes it an easy win for ranks with little or no skill required. 5.) This often makes new players want to leave the server, after being slaughtered with Over Powered items, they get bored and leave.
Any server with donation ranks that offer in-game benefits towards the player will be classified as "Pay to Win." When a player donates to MV, they are paying for a global rank throughout the entire MV network. Taking away donor ranks on Skywars would then not be giving what the player wanted, and maybe a specific player got a donor rank just so he can do better on the Skywars server. Taking away /shop seems quite silly, in my opinion. What you mentioned in #2 really sparks my interest, though. Instead of the removal of the shop, a better choice would be to balance out the economy somehow. This could include, but is not limited to: More money/vote, lowered economy (prices in the shop get lowered), or higher payments for kills and/or wins (I have never played Skywars on MV but I know on other servers you do get money for kills and wins so I'll just assume you do here, too). I really do like what you have to say Majorminor15, Getting money from kills/ wins would for sure help new player out. Since there is no way for new players to get money right now, other than voting and getting the cheap $15. Thanks for the Idea.
Getting money from kills/wins (if not added) would fix the problem. I just waste my money blowing everything up with black holes.
Theres 3 things that i can think of that would help new players on skywars. 1. More money from voting 2. A rank like commander on kitpvp that would give players like 100$ or something a day 3. They could make it if you win you get a reward and then the more wins you get you could rankup (like on infection) and then get more money with each win when you rankup
I agree that the shop is a little too op for donors, but i also don't think we should remove it, and i definetly disagree with removing our donor ranks. We payed for it, you could do the same. But I 100% support the idea of getting rewards for killing/winning, seeming as that would make it easier for everybody to get money in-game.
The reason people donate for a rank, is for the perks that it brings. You cannot just remove it. /shop is also there for a reason, to higher your odds at winning. I myself have won many games without using a kit or /shop...I guess keep playing and understand how people play. That way, you will understand what you need to do in order to win. I do agree however, that you should get a small amount of money for winning a game, I don't have an exact figure, or an estimated figure. I'm also sure this has been suggested though, but it might be too late to reply to it, due to grave-digging. So, make another one, get supporters, hopefully Cyp notices.
