Hai guys, I'm @Yin. Not Yin is just my Minecraft IGN and what a lot of people know me as now. For those of you who don't know who I am, I was one of the eldest members of Mineverse and a very well known one at that. My old account was one of the first forum accounts to hit 2000 positive reactions, and came very close to 2000 posts as well. After about a year or so, I became a mod of Mineverse, putting myself in charge of the Creative and Skygrid server. This was only for 3 months, but during this time, I was met almost entirely with positivity, and one of the most respected people in the Mineverse community. However, things took a very sudden turn when I was suddenly demoted and banned from the forums. Why this happened is something unknown to a lot of people, and when I was asked why this all happened, I would usually just say I was demoted, and move on. However, about 2 years later, I do want to explain a bit of what happened. Obviously this was quite a while back, so I can't quite remember all this, and some of it is better left unspoken, but I'll try and clear some things up. It's actually a pretty short story. While I was mostly appreciated for my activity and work in the community, there were some people who were out to get me, even going as far as threats and DDoSing me. Eventually, these things got to me, but I still stayed around. However, there was one person who was threatening me, while still talking about some things I was saying in the mod chat while this was still going on. This meant that one of the mods that was against me was leaking the staff chat to him, which was punished extremely heavily at that time. After a while, me and 2 mod friends were trying to figure out who was leaking mod chat to regular users. We had a good idea of who it was, but no real evidence of who it might be. Trying to find a way to make the user spill the beans, I took this as an opportunity to get myself out of the threats I was receiving, and also leave the server I had lost interest in. The plan was to tell Cypriot to demote and ban me to get a reaction out of the person who had leaked or something like that. Eventually, Cypriot did go and do that, and word spread very quickly. I was already getting Skype contacts, twitter notifications, and even some kik messages asking me what happened, alongside people telling me about everything that happened after I got banned, such as a thread immediately blowing up asking what happened, that ultimately got locked after it got pretty heated. Obviously this wasn't the best way for it to get resolved, but the main people threatening me eventually got banned, although I'm not sure what happened with mod leaking info. It seems like a pretty extreme way to go, but I felt so much better after it was all done. In regards to why I lost interest, the big reasons for that were the decisions made behind the scenes, and the lack of communication between the administration and moderators. I'm not gonna go into detail on this, but at the time, there was a lot of big issues with some of the servers/minigames that would require the developers to fix. However, rather than fixing old problems, a lot of new things were added. To this day, some of those same bugs and such I was complaining about back then, still exist. I'm not trying to start something here, and I'm sure things are a lot better now, but I did feel like a lot of what mods were trying to say just fell flat at that time, and I just didn't want to work with that. Ever since all that happened, a lot changed. I started losing interest in Minecraft, but did play a bit on some other servers, like the Nexus and MCSG, with the former being where I met some of my few MC friends that I still talk with to this day. I put a lot more of my focus towards school, since I was just going into high school at the time. I quickly got some grades that I would never have gotten back in elementary (since there's no middle school here), and kinda moved on from life in general. I didn't speak to many of my old Mineverse friends much (aside from @kitkat6605910), and was kinda just doing my own thing at this point I took some more interest in the competitive scene for Super Smash Bros. Melee and Smash 4, and started attending tourneys as Not Yin. After quite some time, I actually discovered something called Discord, which for those who are still unfamiliar with it, is a platform similar to Skype and Teamspeak, made for gamers. I quickly drew interest in this, and discovered there's communities for the characters that I play in Smash. As of today, I am now the owner of the Melee/Project M Peach discord (About 500 users), and mod places like the Smash 4 Pit/Dark Pit discord (1200ish users), Smash 4 Olimar (400ish users), and Melee Luigi (300 users). My work in there has gotten me a role as one of the staff members of smashcords.com, a site dedicated to bringing the Super Smash Bros. community on discord together. Anyway, while I still play Minecraft every now and then, I have lost almost all my interest in the game, which leaves me doubtful that I'll ever come back to this community. However, I am here to find some of my old friends from back when I was around, and just talk to them about some things. Anyway, figured I'd say hello to this community again, definitely seems like a lot has changed since my time. I'll probably be on my way soon, but if you'd like to contact me, feel free to add me on discord: Pretty Yin Pink#2563, as I am extremely active there. Later!

Hey Yin. <3 For those of you who don't know, Yin followed every new member on forums. He was my first follower. I always thought that was so cool. It's good to see you. Glad life has been well to you.
WELCOME BACK YIN!!!! So many old players and friends coming back to Mineverse, like a miracle! Again, WELCOME BACK!!!!
Hey! Welcome to Mineverse forums. If you need any help feel free to pm me. I hope you enjoy your stay <3
I am too new to know who you are, but welcome back! He isn't new, he joined in 2013 on his first account
Oh goodness I remember a lot of the names here lmao. Thanks for the warm welcome everybody new and old! I'm doing great these days. Back from winter break tomorrow, and I'm pretty excited about that. I'm currently enjoying myself a lot in school. Finding it pretty easy so far, but I think I got some midterm exams this month, so not sure how those will go. aaaaaaaa good to see you guys <3 Almost forgot I did this lol. I think I stopped at the 1K mark, although I'm not sure if that was what I was trying to achieve, or it's just that we limited users to only follow up to 1000 people. Pretty sure I would just unfollow banned users to create space for new users, but never went about adding new users after I hit the limit
