The sad truth, but I'm trying, I can't do it alone though I need others helping trying to get the word out.
I already tried this method last year, friend. I made a thread hoping to reform the staff team, which I seen as ineffective at that time. I gathered a lot of supporters of the idea, and we all submitted e-mails in regards to hopefully implementing the suggestions I made. What answer did I get from @CypriotMerks & @Noobcrew though? Nothing at all. In fact, the staff team preferred to be hostile towards me as a result.
It's not mineverse that is dead, minecraft is slowly dieing. So hacking should be allowed minecraft gone nothing to do anymore it's gone in few years the numbers are going down
Yup new player will never understand #Olddays, Min players online 700-1000 Max 1000-1500 (Max back then)
You realise downgrading to 1.7 is actually going to kill Mineverse altogether? We need to upgrade, and abide with the EULA. We can't do much if we're still on the blacklist, so we need to get that out of the way. Then we do the following New look & feel of MV. This means new lobbies, maps, etc. Upgrade to 1.10 or 1.9 Get rid of minigames that people don't play, and maybe just add 2 new ones. So bedwars, and 2 other minigames that we all know and love. One of them could be spleef, for example. Tweak the anti-cheat. Theres always room for improvement Change up the filter, so people don't get ticked off. Also filter the terms "kill yourself" and "kys", both on forums and in-game. Promote the server more. I don't know how we could do this exactly, but we can surely find a way to promote MV and get back more people. Because I'm running out of ideas, just look at other peoples ones. There are brilliant suggestions out there that need to be implemented. I think all of these may get the server up and running better than it has ever been before, and if not, at least stabilise it.
Very good ideas but since the server is revolved around pvp then 1.7 is the best choice due to the mechanics, 1.7 is packed with tons of members and this would attract old members that quit and new members in the pvp community.
Alright lets, go ahead and make some arguments about this "suggestion" since ya know I love talking about interesting subjects. Ironically enough, this is a quote from one of my discussion thread made months back ( can't quote it/link it cause ya know, it doesn't exist anymore). So, lets be straight here, its not. If you did you're research correctly, we are only reaching a minimum of 150 players during night time. If you check, http://minecraftservers.org/server/19812 and check the stats, you can roughly see the charts of players online. Its above 100 during midnight to 8 AM (CST) and 200-300+ during the day (CST). Now, to be fair its lower than it usually is. We used to have 1-2k players online during weeknights and 2-3k players during weekends. So, I will agree its low, but not "100 players play legit". Alright, so if you know me enough, you know I support 1.9 99% of the time. So, lets just talk about 1.7 in general. 1.7 compared to 1.8 is a good argument instead of 1.7 to 1.9. 1.8 gave us more commands than 1.7 offers (such as /fill if I remember correctly). It gave us more blocks, commands, and bug fixes. I will argue 1.9 is the best version (though major fixes are needed, such as lower cool downs for pvp mode), but 1.8 is also better than downgrading to 1.7. Yes, we could apply mods to 1.7, but that's because most creators don't want to move everything to 1.8 and actually put some effort into it. Ironically enough, when people demanded for Mojang to change the pvp system back to how it was in 1.7, they changed it totally in 1.9 and "ruined" the game for the old community. Now, what remains of the community supports the new updates and attempts to justify it while failing to point out its strengths and the weaknesses of 1.7 and 1.8. We would gain more and lose less in total by upgrading to 1.9 (though we would lose a lot of ragers, we would eventually gain more than we lost). I have to agree that OPvp and the server in general has a lot of hackers, not as many compared to my moderating days, but there are quite a few. A better anti-cheat would be nice to have so that we could rely on something besides the mods to ban these dudes. Do you mean when they removed the kits? Because we were required by Mojang to do that...Not sure if you got that memo when the list of blacklisted servers came out and all of the servers listed sold kits with their ranks. So yeah... Any who, I do agree Mineverse needs to change, but we need suggests rather than complaining. How do we make the ranks appeal to the older crowd and the younger crowd that can afford these ranks while also following the EULA? How do we make a better anti-cheat? How do we know the older community will come back if we downgrade? Obviously the staff haven't revealed their solution these questions, so now I ask you, how should they fix these things? Because, I'm not seeing a suggestion how how to fix the problems you stated that would be effective. (The downgrade thing is debatable, but still we don;t know the new community will stay and the old one will come back)
It wasn't even my suggestion and because it got reasonable amount of support I decided to implement it because I liked the idea and secondly just because we add something new that cost money doesn't mean we're hungry for money or the server isn't making enough money. It's like Alienware and their new laptops. Just because they come out with a new model every year doesn't mean they need money. They're just refreshing their ideas and going for new ventures. It makes no sense to assume we need the money, since TS is a free user based voice chat to begin with, getting other perks is just natural since we offer them on the server to distinguish the players. Anyway, on-topic We don't have a set date for any of these yet but at the moment we're revamping our lobby navigator. We are going to remove Minigames no one plays at all but we will be keeping Bed Wars, Climbers & Hunger Games. We're also adding Towny to the navigator. We're working on our own particles plugin as a new donor perk. We're also currently working on resetting Skyblock & OP Factions at the moment and we want to make reset unique not the same reset every time. So if you have any ideas you'd love to see let us know.
Sounds good man but what about a new server host because this one isn't too hot, also disabling vpn users from joining stops the ban evading, thank you for the time.@CypriotMerks
so.. you listened to me? ;3; I did note that the anti-cheat could do with some tweaking, any chance the devs are going to be working on that? Also you should give me my own personal rank - "Doggo" u liek? I think you do amirite? ye? ye?
The only servers I've really had problems on are Skyblock and the new KitPvP. TPS on both drop significantly at times. Really creates an unplayable environment.
