we initially didn't allow this due to privacy reasons but I wouldn't mind it being implemented. Support
A lot of reports contain sensitive information or inappropriate things which is primarily why we have the images hidden so it’s only accessible to staff. You could say that all the information can be put into <HIDE>, but there are thousands of reports and that’s a lot of work… Nevertheless, this is in discussion with staff! Will update you on what we decide. this would be cool though!
Im neutral, on this notion of no support due to the fact that this promotes more targeting and ban evasion if more private information is going to be leaked. At the same time, I support it due to the fact that it can help someone banned to see why they got banned to have a person know the process to help to be unbanned grows the community in a small bit. Thank you for submitting this suggestion! Upon discussing with the staff team, we have decided we will not be implementing this feature. We understand why many people want to view images in reports because it can provide more clarity and transparency, and creates nostalgia for members to glance at. While there are pros, there are some cons. The forums has a lot of reports, and many of these reports contain inappropriate content which we do not think we should expose to members, and sensitive information which we do not wish to leak. By standard, moderators hide sensitive information, but as a safety net we'd rather not show things we'd like to keep private for both the protection of the reporter and the reported player. ^^ -- If a member is interested in viewing an image from a report, we can definitely show it to you IF the image is appropriate and does not contain sensitive content. You can contact a staff member, or report the thread and we can contact you. The staff team hopes you understand where we're coming from, and are only denying this idea due to the cons which in my opinion overweigh the pros. Thread moved to archives. Regards, The Staff
