So yeah , i got banned for swearing ( warming 10 / 10 ) Most of those warnings were from ages ago Why is it that my old warnings are counting now I just got banned for the stupidest thing ever " 10 / 10 " only 3 of them were from this month rest 8 - 10 months old
Here is just a clearer explanation of what @Linux said: Let's say you bypass the filter (A) times and you get caught: A = 10 --> 3 day ban A = 20 --> 7 day ban A = 30 --> 14 day ban And so on. Do correct me if I'm wrong @Moderators because I'm a bit rusty on moderating knowledge. (Essentially the bans increase in time as you break "minor" chat offences more and more often)
I am really sorry for your ban. I hope to see you soon in the game. I recommend you to read again the /rules.
na i mean like why does the warnings from a year old count still aren't they suppose to reset each 1 month ?
By being on the server, you should be complying with the rules, and if you don't like them, you can always give feedback to the staff/just leave. Now, about your question, I believe that the Staff hope to control the toxic-ness in Mineverse. If your, say, 9 warnings get reset every month, then this will just encourage people to swear even when staff are online in the same gamemode. I believe that this is a good way to remind people not to break the rules of Mineverse.
This is why warnings matter. After time has gone by, they start to pile up. It's important to refrain from saying inappropriate things in the chat that can lead to more warnings and the a ban. If the warnings didn't end in a higher punishment, what would be the point of them at all? By the way, none of these warnings are from over/or a year ago. The plugin we use to deal out warnings has only been installed since last summer. I hope this has answered any questions you may of had. Do feel free to start a conversation with me for further concerns regarding this. Closing, thanks
