Okay, so let us all be honest. Infection is not living up to what it could be. In the time that Mineverse has been up, this has rarely (If ever) been updated. From the time I first joined here out of boredom 6 months ago, until now it is exactly the same. The gameplay mechanics get a little boring in my opinion, and since we have had the same maps for almost the entire life of MIneverse, that will slowly start to make people walk away. This isn't supposed to be a hate thread, but I think that Infection needs some serious changes (And I know others do too) Possible ideas for changes Maps We need new maps. Most players know every corner of these maps, every camping area, every secret room. I feel if we switched it up it would attract lots of extra players and repopulate this great server. Level/Rank Dynamics We could use a new form of levels. THe current one isn't the best. Levels are lost all the time, and voting for levels has its fair share of issues. I like the names of the ranks, but maybe a new exp gaining system would be nice. Say store it in a virtual exp bank type plugin. Say, /level would show you your rank name, number, and amount needed until next levelup. Make The Zombies Pudry (Yes, I am serious) As a nub I was always confused on who was a zombie and who wasn't. I think we should just give the zombies a zombie head with protection II to stimulate a chain helmet. Maybe even green prot I armor. Boom, no more nub confusion. These are just a few ideas I had today about what we could do to improve infection. It is a great server, but I feel it has gone downhill lately.
I support. I want to bring up an issue with the dispenser in the map nuke town. Humans can place items like their iron armor, bows and arrows in the dispenser and then retrieve the items when they become a zombie. I think this should be removed because it bugs out the game and bows and arrows are only supposed to be given to zombies that are prestiges 7-10. Not only this, but if a zombie puts chain mail into the dispenser before the round ends, it will stay in there until it's removed, letting humans obtain chain mail.
Well this suggestion went better than expected .__. Hopefully Cypriot or Noobcrew sees this sometime :P
I agree with all the points listed above. Playing the same old maps every day, with people camping the same spots, just isn't as fun as it used to be anymore. And I have noticed the fact that we are slowly losing players. Xp issues have also caused people to quit, especially the level reset thing that was occuring a couple of months ago. Infection hasn't gone downhill, but rather the appeal of other gamemodes has increased. I could say that it is decent-ish right now, but it has so much potential to be even better. Just my two cents as a regular Infection player.
I agree with your statement about Mineverse. I think as the weeks go on I slowly loose interest in it little by little. There is no twist in infection. No element of surprise. As with the other gamemodes, there's none that seeks excitement.
i WWWUUUUUBBBB the idea as long as i do NOT get reset :p (AND i would like prestige 8-9-10 fixed cause they have 2-3-4 arrows and no bow) =D so SUPPORT ALL DA WAY!!!!!!!!! =D
