I used to use fraps for free, but I had to reset my laptop cause it kept on crashing because idk. It was pretty old, like 3 or 4 years but it worked like it was new after the reset. Anyway, I suggest using fraps, I don't now if other recorders have this, but it also shows fps while you're playing but you can hide it if you don't want it there.
I'd highly suggest fraps because that's what I use and it's so simple. You can record 1080p or lower with two buttons. Simple easy and shovel approved
If you have Windows 10 just do Window + G and it will prompt the recorder. 720p If mac just use quick time. xD
