Moderator Applications.Only Active Members should be allowed to post Applications On this message that ONLY active members and higher can apply for moderator. Why? Most of the people who post are 1 sentence answers which spam the moderator section which really annoy actual applicants. Why? People who join on their first day with 2 messages and don't even follow the template and write a 5 line paragraph we get so much 1 sentence applications, people who just join and think they can get mod with some effortless application, it's hogging the whole application and it's taking away all the effort of people put into the real applications. Only Staff members can view applications. I feel like Staff members should only view applications and this is because 1st; barely any staff even reply to applications 2nd; they can recommend people easier 3rd; mods can actually leave feedback for people 4th; creates less hassle. Written by Melgrath I guess I would almost prefer a system that allows staff to "Approve" player applications. This does NOT mean they are saying who can be mods, but in essence, they are filtering the terrible ones and only showing those through that show some effort to them. This does not mean that players who are not approved are lost. This simply means the staff can put a Deny with a reason as a response to the application. This feedback allows the player to go back to the drawing board (assuming they are serious) and address the major concerns. This could indeed help encourage quality applications rather than some of the more amusing ones. Let's say the criteria for a "Pass" is two moderators saying Approved. This provides a relatively low barrier to entry, meaning it is still accessible to players, but at the same time screens the junk. Would be up to see if people like the idea, some tweaks to how it could be done to ensure everything is fair.
no support, you dont need to be active on forums to be a good moderator, the good moderator are the ones that are active in game, not on forums. but the other one could be a good idea.
Not true, I made my first application when I was just "New Member" and it was detailed. Second was just a few weeks ago and it was very detailed. I'm only a member, doesn't make a difference.
wat Interesting idea, might want to edit it to make it 'active and above', some boss member may want to apply.
Only Staff Can View Applications -- Support If only Staff view the application the chat won't go off topic, and at least the person wouldn't be sad or have their hopes down if people keep on not Supporting. Only Active Members Allowed To Make Applications -- Support I only give support for Active Members and above anyway but I still Support. Go to the Mod App section you can see how many people are new members a fill up the Moderator Application section daily. Plus you have to be experienced on the forums to be a Mod.
I like this idea. Even if it may not show true colors of someone, it helps the staff and prevents rate abusing.

A lot of the staff members prefer not to reply to applications saying 'No support', most will provide feedback to help improve the application though. I myself, I prefer to only reply to applications of applicants who I believe would do good as a Mineverse moderator. They barely reply to applications because I believe most of the moderators feel the same way. I like this idea.
not every moderator was liked, Badlerner got mod and he was hated, lots of people who got mod were hated.
I support this. This would reduce the spam applications in the moderator applications section. Neutral. People do leave hate comments, but others like judging applications.
