They changed it because it's easier for moderators to handle. And to be honest, a post where everyone is calling someone a hacker and posting aggressive comments isn't the nicest thing to have around. No support.
The idea is that they're viewable. People can't post on them, they can't rate them, they really can only see them. I'm sorry, but I've reported people and had them banned, then seen them unbanned 20 minutes later. We should be able to see how the moderators deal with things.
Fair enough, idk I'm 50/50 for this. If people couldn't post on the reports then most people would create loads of threads on why the reporter was wrong, and why they shouldn't be banned.
I would like the reports and ban appeals to be public once again. Not so much on Ban Appeals, but with reports. The community can help more with the reports. Like, provide more evidence, explain something different so that people understand the situation better, etc. There's a lot of situations you would want the reports to be public. Support.
No support. What is the point of players being able to see reports and ban appeals? All this would do is make new players rack up the warning points for posting in ban appeals/reports. Besides, what is the use? Why would players need to view reports and ban appeals anyway?
Support. Players being reported should at least have there back story or input in the ban, Since it might be false video or sections in the video they can point out. and i do recommend a channel on TeamSpeak for these bans since ones skype's are private they can go on a safe environment on Teamspeak.
I totally agree. It's unfair if your reported and you don't know about it. You get not chance of says what you would like to say from your point of view. I 100% support
And you posted a topic earlier about getting hate for reporting?? People can post even more hate on reports if they are like that! Seems very hypocritical. No support. Not going to make the mod's life (or yours) harder.
The point is to see why you have been banned... Also, to see if they have ACTUAL proof that you are breaking the rules For example, I get banned from kitpvp. I don't know why, so I'm very confused. Also I might get banned incorrectly (I suck at grammar :3) I've seen people who are falsely banned because mods are thinking they have killaura ,but they don't. They are just good at strafing and pvping. By letting people see the reports, they can testify that the evidence doesn't show that they are hacking. How can they testify if they can't post? Well they can make a conversation with the mod that ban them.
When you get banned, the Mod is forced to put why you were banned in the message. And trust me, we do have evidence.
Generally when you are banned, you are also banned on forums, which means you can't look at why you were banned anyway.
