This is from the Forum rules thread: Bumping a thread older than 30 days is classified as spam. If the response is not deemed necessary and would require a new thread to be started you will receive an infraction for gravedigging/necroposting. This suggestion is for making the rules more specific and specifying which forums thread/sub-forums thread that has been necro-posted, punishable.
Yeah. If the last reply was 30 or more days ago, a post will result in the thread being closed and infraction points given to the person who replied.
Spoiler: Full text explanation No, grave-digging is not going to someone's grave and digging their bodies up to steal what they were buried with... Grave digging, AKA "necro posting", is the term we use here on Mineverse when someone posts on a thread that has been "inactive" for one month plus. But, there are some exclusions to grave digging, and they are listed below. Necro-posting has no effect on moderator applications, introductions, and help, so if you wanted, you could go comment on one that is over a year old. People are also allowed to "reopen" their old threads by simply commenting on them. If you have a thread that is a year old, go ahead and comment on it! You're allowed to! I made this thread because I am tired of seeing people grave-dig threads... but only if the threads that were over a month old were archived.. that's for another thread. ;) Bumping a thread older than 30 days is classified as spam. To answer the suggestions any threads under the "General" category (Introductions and Suggestions excluded) Are not allowed to be grave-dug. Any threads under the "Support" category may be grave-dug. The General category includes: Discussion and all sub categories, Off topic and all sub categories, and news and announcements. In the Support category: Mod applications, Ban appeals, Reports and Help sections + all sub categories. Im not sure but this is pretty simple to grasp I would think, maybe some official thread will help.
