Disregards to @Echoed_ 's recent post of the forum site. :P - My name is Steve W, or "WolfBane," as you may refer to me as! I am posting this thread to hopefully add various changes to this website in hopes of increasing interaction within Mineverse's community, increasing convenience, and to attract more new players to the forums overall. I am going to be sharing a large suggestion that may or may not be implemented, but I do wish to see feedback/consideration from the staff and players on here in regards of my suggestion. A good forum site, in my opinion, is a relatively important thing for all Minecraft communities to have. Forums sites practically act as server hub, allowing players to engage with others without even having to be on the server. They promote interactions within the community, and also help grow it as a whole. I have only been a member of this community for about 2 weeks now, and so far love everything. The server, the staff, the community itself..It's all amazing! But there's one thing I am not too fond of. Yes, that is this forums site. When I first found this site during my search of a new server to join, it struck me that the forum populace was okay. But, the forums itself just screamed "meh." It's very cluttered and bland, lacks variety in its sections, and overall is too simplistic. I have decided as a result to make this thread filled with a possible layout that could hopefully be implemented to enhance Mineverse's forums site. The New Layout!! The layout of the forums site in its current state is very jammed and lacking. We have 5 sub-sections in the "Off-Topics" section, the "Media" section is a horrid mess thrown into the "Discussion" section for some reason, there's literally only two sections (General and in-game support), and it lacks various threads that could help organize and differentiate the site to increase interaction. I have developed a potential layout that nullifies the cons I have pointed out: - Important Section: News Rules - Forum Dicussion: Introductions Off Topic Posts Forum games - Server Discussion: Clan Recruitment Suggestions Questions - Media: Graphics/Art YouTube Section Minecraft Builds - Staff Applications Applications Section Accepted Applications Denied Applications - Private Section Player reports Report a Staff Member Ban Appeals Bug Reports Donation Issues With this layout, it removes some of the clutter that plagues the current setup, and also adds new sections for more variety/interaction. I truly believe that with a more interesting and organized forums, it can hopefully promote more players to sign up, and also further boost interaction within this community. I love Mineverse's community, and wish to see it grow further alongside the server. As I said before, I understand fully that a redux of the entire forums layout may be a rather large suggestion to make, and could in fact be a hard task to complete. However, I believe that with enough feedback from both the staff and players, the potential of the forums undergoing improvement is likely. I say Neutral for now. I like the sound of this but I also like the way it is now. Also no Denied Applications.
Why would there be a denied applications section? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there has ever been a denied application.
