Actually,
there's a theory.
The mask will prevent you from the original bots, because they try to stuff you in a suit.
The new bots are supposed to dismantle the old ones if they move.
If you try keeping it on the whole time, the new bots will kill you.

 

Added a new part, it's called levers,

Anyone wanna check it out, it's not part of the game, but I thought it'd be cool,
Also it'll help with those who don't like the dark.
