This is A idea to find people /Hackers type with them or have fun, /find player allows us to find a player we are looking for that may/may not be online this is very useful to find people if you are in a hurry, I suggest this since its just convenience since there is no selection for game mode's anyone can join
We have a command /whereis, but that is only available for moderators. You can do /friends and see where one of your friends are playing, though. I think it's better if players just have the ability to find where their friends are. That way both players have agreed they don't mind if the other can see where they are, and can always unfriend if they change their mind.
Not everyone has to know where I am at what time. Especially on a video game. You could create a disable and enable option (obviously) but this would just create more complications. It's a nice suggestion but really the friends command exists for a reason. Wouldn't want people outside of that group to do anything.
No support, as @Clxrity said some people may not want everyone knowing where they are and might just want people that they have in friends know this. Ot also would kind of defeat the whole purpose of friends.
