I may sound like a loser, but I hate books,

I can't sit there and read them, I can only read the Guiness World Record books, that's all.

Asking me what my favorite book is... is like asking a mother of 3 which of her children she would like to donate to a volcano...

    I love:
    Neverending Story
His Dark Materials (Golden Compass, Subtle Knife and Amber Spyglass)
    Harry Potter
    Lord of the Rings
Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH
    Time Cat
Pretty much anything by Piers Anthony (Mostly Xanth and the Apprentice Adept series)
    Redwall
The Centaur, The Fairy and the Liondragon... Oh wait that's a story I wrote... Ok fine I'm done for now.

Oscar and the Lady in Pink.

    Short book, about 80-100 pages.
I see it not as a "for fun" book. It is a book with actual meaning. I read it for school, thinking it would be a bad book, but I fell in love with this book once I had read 10 pages.
A bit about the book. (SPOILERS OBV)
This book is in the form of a letter, a letter by a 10 year old boy, to God. (despite me being Jewish, not Christian, I still find this a great adjustment) This boy, has cancer. He lives in the hospital, and thinks his parents hate him, and he grows to hate them more and more, while finally starting to love them around the end of his life.
"The Lady in Pink" mentioned in the title, is kind of a career. She tells him that he should make letters to God for 12 days, and make those 12 days, the 12th day happens to fall on December 31st, make those 12 days last. Make is so you live all your life in these 12 days.
This book was amazing, there's more to it, read it yourself to see, I highly recommend it.

Random fact about the author, he's from France and published this book around 2002, I believe
