You may and may not already know this but Mineverse has a small problem of people posting fake profile pictures claiming it's them. One user I'm going to use as an example is @stfstf11 Now how do I know her profile picture is fake? Well it's easy and I'll show how I discovered it was fake through these steps: Step 1: Google Images Now if I were to type in stfstf11 in google images I would see stfstf11's old and current profile picture on Mineverse. Step 2: TinEye Right now I uploaded her old profile to picture and as you can see I get three results. In Conclusion her old profile picture is a fake. Step 3: TinEye (Again Lol) Right now I have uploaded her current picture but because her profile picture has a low resolution I only got one result. Sounds legit, but if I use a picture of a tree, does that mean anything since I'm not a real tree? I just don't see how someone using a picture they like as their profile pic that isn't offensive or anything is a bad thing? Am I missing issues mineverse has had with this or something?
The problem is that no one is going to claim that they are a tree (No one is that dumb I hope). The whole point of this thread is to inform people on how to protect them self from people on the internet. Ex. Child Predators Let me remind you this is the discussion section so people can talk about pretty much anything they want.
What I'm getting a what I'm getting at though is, the girl you called out. How do you know she isn't a young girl? How is she claiming to be someone she isn't? I've yet to see her post anything or say anything about the picture actualy being her. She might just be a fan of the person in her picture. That's all in getting at.
She did say that her picture was not fake. If you were more active on the forums you would have seen it before she deleted it. I have a private message with her telling me that her profile picture was not fake. I also got a warning from a Moderator (@Pile_of_Butts) for "Harassing" her (Telling her that her profile picture is fake) <------- Also another reason why I made this thread Besides only popular people get fans. If the person in her profile picture was popular you would know who it is, but you don't. Proof:

This is the internet. Predators are everywhere... If you are on here you should be well aware of false people on the internet, and the dangers. The thread is however informative for those who would like to know how to dig up info on people, or trace photos to someones private social media pages... so there's that. I get what you are trying to say. I just think that slander is an ugly thing and if you wanted to warn people of the dangers of the internet you could have chose a random photo instead of a fellow player from this forum. I don't want to fight you Piles but if a person accuses me of harassment I will take it very seriously. By telling the truth and proving it, only shows that I was not harassing her but exposing her lies (She didn't like that and called it harassment). If I accuse someone of something I make sure I'm right. I think I've brought to the table enough evidence for you to say "Yes her pictures are fake". If you want to defend a liar that's fine. You're 36 years old, I'm sure you know what you are doing. Consider this a thread to prove I wasn't harassing her but telling the truth. Of course I'm going to pick @stfstf11 because she was the one who reported me. I don't let liars get away easily without a fight. It's not a decision, I've already proven.
Thank you for this helpful thread for future people to use. But it seems you have shifted your main ambition for this thread to getting back at her and proving yourself right instead of helping other people from sexual predators.
Correct , but what is this getting you to? It's already been done. You should not be intimidated by the fact that she felt like she was being harassed at that time.
The point is she got me a warning point so of course I'm going to react. Yes, it's over now that I ended and I never felt intimidated by her. Rakion do I have to repeat it a thousand times??? It proved that I didn't harasser her. She reported me for harassing her when I said her picture was fake when the truth was that her profile picture really was fake.

She wasn't the cause of your warning point , you were. You were pushing her too far and a moderator did what she thought was the best and appropriate thing to do. So what if she has a fake profile picture , why try so hard to expose her? Majority of the people wouldn't care at all if she has a fake picture. And now you are telling me you aren't intimidated when you are here butthurt on this thread that you got a warning. It's just one warning , you have 8 more and it's not like you would be a total douche to everyone on the forums and instantly get 8 warnings in 5 minutes.

Now let me tell you what it means to be butthurt, when you owned or you someone takes something from you and you cry about it (I'm doing neither). Listen, you may not care about a girl faking her picture but I happen to care. Do you think it's right to impersonate someone that they are not? (It against the law) It's like when someone tries to be tough on the internet but IRL they aren't. So now I need to ask you, do you agree with people impersonating other people? How would you feel if someone took your picture and claimed it was you? Stealing other peoples pictures just isn't right and this is what everyone in this thread is missing.
