Enforcing Rules on Moderator ApplicationsI'd like to highlight some issues about troll moderator applications by asking the staff a few questions. I. Why are the thread owners never punished? Why are troll moderator applicants never punished? They don't abide to the rules Do not spam any branch of Mineverse and Do not troll/steal on MV so my question is left unchanged; why are they not punished? II. Why do the staff not fulfil their roles? Stated in the FAQ thread http://www.mineverse.com/threads/the-rank-moderator.42911/ all staff must "Ensure that Mineverse is a friendly environment for all players. This means that moderators may have to take action in the form of kicking players, or temporarily/permanently banning players in violation of the server's rules." However, the staff do not fulfil their roles by not "[punishing] players in violation of the server's rules." Examples Some examples of troll moderator applications are http://www.mineverse.com/threads/toelikzar.63565/ and http://www.mineverse.com/threads/hi-mod-apply.63434/ EDIT: There have been some different opinions about these threads. I can tell you that "I like to watch porn," "i love survival so much plz unban me i have a mc family lol," "hi … im deaf," "Yeet," and "I like pokemon" clearly prove that the moderator applications above are trolls. -Mineterria
To be fair, in both of those links as "examples of troll mod applications", the applicant DID follow the template. Even if they were jokes, a moderator has no way of knowing whether the person didn't know to add more detail or if they were just trolling. Just like in a court case kinda, it'll be obvious that someone committed a crime but they can't do anything without evidence.
Support, but what @CountryGirl_, they followed the template and there is no knowing if it was meant to be a troll app or if they were serious. The 1st on does seem a bit silly but the 2nd one could be a real one.
I don't know why people are supporting this as it isn't a suggestion (hence why it's in the "rant" section). I agree though.
Good point. Only thing stated in the rules in regards to this issue is that fake applicants are to be "ignored."
