Hey, so it's been awhile since I've actually played on Mineverse, or Minecraft for that matter, but I decided to get back into it because I enjoy playing it sometimes. Regardless, the reason I'd been 'vacationing', if you will, is because I've started a YouTube channel. I thought that Minecraft was basic and so many people do it already, so I thought something that I'm really dedicated to would be better for my channel. However, I only have one screen recorder, and I love using it because it's resolution when I play SCP. When I play Minecraft, however...it doesn't work right at all and no other free screen recorders are getting the job done for me. I had one that worked wonders, but my trial ended in 10 minutes of recording. Needless to say, I have found nothing else that works, and honestly, I'm kinda p.o.'d about it. I was really hoping that I could get back into Minecraft YouTubing, and especially in the Mineverse community where I can show off my builds, but apparently that isn't working out for me right now. I tried searching for the best "free screen recorders" on the web, but all of them are demos of something you have to buy. Kinda irritating. So here's the second part to this rant that...isn't a rant. I wanted to know if anyone had a good, free, no-trial screen recorder that works well with Minecraft (or any program really)? If so, please link me to it, I'd like to upload some Minecraft videos and stuff without worrying about a crappy screen recorder. Thanks. ~ Todd
I use OBS, Its pretty good, free, and it has a lot of options for customizing. https://obsproject.com/
I use plays.tv. It is one of the best platforms to record anything. You barely gets 5 fps lower than you normally would unlike most recorders and you can customise the quality of the recordings. However I've noticed that it doesn't always work 100% with Minecraft I have to open it a few times before it realises minecraft is a game. You can use manual mode where you only record when you chose. Or there is automatic. This will automatically record everything and you just need to press a hotkey to save the previous set amount of time onto a separate file. You can signup, but it isn't required to use the program. If you do sign up you can automatically upload it. Here's a download if you want to try it out. http://plays.tv/
I thought this was an introduction and was about to say welcome ahhaha whoops I use quicktime player it's easy af to handle
It depends on what computer you are on, OBS is a nice one but it's hard to understand if you are using a Mac then choose QuickTime Player, if you are on Windows 10, use the Win+Alt+R, it's pretty nice and easy to do. But as Mega said, plays.tv is a good one if you don't have the others above.
Don't listen to anyone, get action recording software, it's the best period. You'll need an activation key but you can probably find one on google or YouTube.
For anything recording: I recommend either OBS or Camtasia Studio (which is very easy to download the full version for free, like I have ;) )
I haven't done Minecraft yet, besides that one video, but I plan on playing it soon. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCOGwc9ifijjLeOLPvdr5ng
