Neutral on this. There will be no more PvP hacks.Or they would work,just badly.Atleast until they get updated... The new content (Ender cities)would benefit Survival and Creative with new blocks and gameplay items. How the hell would infection be played after this?How are zombies gonna kill people now,and vice versa? How would the other PvP servers be played?Many people are used to the heat of the battle,jumping in and scoring many hits.Now it would be kind of...boring.
Please don't go to 1.9, at first I thought it was just the hit cooldown (which can be disabled as said above) then after reading the comments the golden apples nurfed, I play op pvp the most and this will be awful.
I'm going to have to say neutral. How could we have a server that's both 1.8 and 1.9? Is it even possible? And true, 1.9 will mess up the PvPing with hitlack, wings, enchant buffs, etc. But maybe there's something good about it in the full release? That's just my opinion but
The suggestions is to just have a server which is 1.8 tho Besides, pvp is a major part of MV and Minecraft itself.

Neutral, In the new update 1.9, there are gliders and an enchantment that allows you to walk like elsa on water. I personally would love 1.9 in survival
No support, the new update removes pvp hacks like kill aura because of the new attack speed which is very useful and a nice way to even the battlefield, and it would add new content to be enjoyed by all the non-pvp gamemodes. Also if people are that worried, using commands you can modify the attack speed of a weapon to keep the spam click rate of attack from older versions.
the only thing i like about 1.9 is the extra slot that you can switch like dual weapons but i support
