Apple helped define the modern mobile category. Its unique business plan from the beginning and diverse range of products are what made it extremely profitable and unique.

You guys can hate Apple all you want, but at the end of the day, it holds the title of the biggest company by market value and is one of the most successful TNCs in the world.

 

I don't see where the "diverse range of products" adds up. A lot of tech companies, including Google, have a variety of products From a search engine to a phone plan, there's dozens of products google has and their business model is making them profitable. Besides Apple isn't the first one to be highly profitable.

Apple is the first company to invent the smartphone as well as the iPad, both of which are revolutionary. The creator of these devices was for innovation, not for profits really.

If you're an investor, stockholder, or some random dude or woman looking to own some stocks then sure Apple's lead in market value is important, otherwise no.
