A player told me to "Drown in bleach and die in a hole." I banned the player and was reported by them for "abuse"...
They must not know what they are doing. It is pretty obvious if someone is saying it as a joke or not, just by looking at the context of the chat.
That's the thing though. When it's a report, you don't have much context to go by, so you just have to be safe rather then sorry.
I support. Some of the people who report for death threats, just report to get someone banned. Sometimes people are in skype calls or in group chats and are joking around. I got banned on Survival about a year ago because I told EnderGirlMC28 to "kys". I was skyping with her and someone who didn't like us reported us. Kys shouldn't be banable, what should be banable is going into detail on how they should kill themselves like "drink bleach" or "tie a noose". I think the only reports that should be considered banable are actual death threat reports. Such as - I'm going to murder your family - Tie a noose - Stab your self with a fork - Drink a bucket of bleach Anything else is usually used in a joking matter..
Just don't say those things to anyone and you + your friends will be fine. You may be joking, but how are others, especially Moderators meant to know that? Take it to PM if you're having a joke with your mates or don't say it at all.
I support but you know.. Mods around here are mini Hitlers, they don't care. They wanna see it there way. We see it our way, it's not like these mods even play "OP Factions" anyways.
