Creative 1.16.3 is here! With the latest Minecraft update of cool and unique items added to the game, you can now play with all of them on Mineverse. To start, the oldschool Creative server is back. Previously known as Creative2 and never updated or online. We decided to bring back the server we first launched in 2013 and convert it to 1.16.3! We want to focus on making it the primary once again, with just a simple world and decent sized plots for the average player and with a history of over 350,000 plots still loaded throughout the world. This server will be for new and veteran players alike. As for the most recent Creative server, which was the only one online before this update, it will also be playable on 1.16.3 but will be built more for those that simply want more space. We felt in the past, that with all other networks offering large plots that we had to do the same, so we got rid of the oldschool server to make room for something we thought players wanted, and to be honest with time, it has been likely something the majority did not want and perhaps it is something that creates an overwhelming feeling for the average player. Therefore with the previous and oldschool server, we will be offering the two different servers with two different sized plots. The way the two servers will co-exist is that each will have a new name. The original Creative server with the medium sized 64x64 plots launched in 2013 will now be known as 'Creative Basics' (/creative1). And the previous Creative server with 128x128 plots will be referred to as 'Creative Expanse' (/creative2). To put it simple, the 'Basics' server is for those looking to build something small and to play Creative with a vanilla feel, hacked and fun items on the server that used to exist will continue to exist as long as they don't end up crashing the server too. The Expanse server will be for those that are looking to dedicate more time to a massive build and space to have multiple creations all on one plot. Both of the Creative servers to be on 1.16, in general, is very limited with the amount of public plugins that are essentially not updated yet, therefore for right now, the servers just have the important functions only to make them work. We will continue to monitor them on latency/crashes and we will be looking to add unique plugins to make the gamemodes more interactive. And lastly, it is important to mention that the drawback of bringing back the oldschool Creative server and updating it from 1.8 to 1.16, is that unfortunately some plots were lost in the process and are no longer attached to users that have not logged into the server in recent years. For the majority of those that have logged into Mineverse over the last 12 months for the most part are unaffected, but for those in the past it is roughly a 30% chance that the user might not have the plot they once created in 2013-2016. We decided to move forward either way as we feel that it is much more of a loss resetting the server entirely, whereas only a portion of players are reset. If you a user that know you created a plot in the past yet no longer have it, then you must create a new plot as if we had a reset, though just know that the plot still exists in the massive world and if it is found at any time we can easily have it re-claimed for you. We hope that this huge update to Creative is something you guys enjoy and do let us know any suggestions you may have for features we should add!
The creative that has been up the past year is now accessed by /creative2. Nothing should be corrupt and your plot should be perfectly fine. The old creative, however, is somewhat corrupt. All plots still exist in the world but you may have lost ownership over your plot. As crew said, this only applies to players who haven't logged on in years. This is because it was taken down in 2017 and was temporarily up for a few months in 2019.
