OS: Ubuntu 14.04 (Linux) Issue: I have 8G of RAM but it when I look at the PC Info, it shows 7.7G of RAM. I just need to know why it's lowered? Skype: I have a Skype account but it never works. The download links wouldn't work now the account is glitched... (This happened to all my computers, I'm not reporting this issue though)

Also your RAM is showing as 7.7GB instead of 8GB because there are some parts of your RAM allocated by other hardware (graphics, network, storage) and is therefore unavailable. For me I have 8GB Ram but only 7.89 is usable. Also another thing that can deal with " because it is better for business to write 8G (in decimal) instead of 7.7G in size. "

Can you Pm me the error message? It will most likely be a problem with your ram sticks, but just to be sure.

I dunno, I just downloaded the program at Microsoft (430+ MB) and double clicked it then it popped out.
