Ive been Trying 5+ times just to Name my Sword and Axe and when i pick it up/grab it after naming it, its still named Diamond sword and Diamond Axe

 

Are you using 1.8?

 

yes i am

 

Must be a 1.8 glitch then, Change to 1.7 and try

 

1.8 has an anvil glitch and so the only way you can use anvils is in 1.7.10 and under.

 

Can you close this.
