I wouldn't really call Sword Art Online my favorite anime but I dislike when anime end a story short, which happened with Angel Beats. It was pretty fast paced and a lot of it didn't make sense, such as how there were adults working for Yuri in an afterlife for children/teenagers. However, I did like the concept of Sword Art Online. I like how it shows the good and bad sides of VRMMO's, I dislike the harem though. It was nice, watching an anime with a guy liking a girl, nothing and no one else involved but then in Season 2 every girl goes after him, it really pisses me off, seriously. I'd have to go with Sword Art Online for this one, I did really like Angel Beats, good story, amazing music ect. But in the long run, I honestly like animes with seasons and Sword Art Online is an anime which most otakus can relate to, the gaming part I mean.
Angel Beats was quite hard to understand imo.. It was an alright anime, but SAO comes out on top for me.
