I know I’m not the only person who has been falsely banned before, and I know if I was SSed. But seriously how many people hack on mv? I play OPPvp a lot, 8-12hrs a day. I see so many people who are closet cheating with hacks that are very unnoticeable yet they make all the difference in the fight. Speaking from experience here I know that whenever I report a cheater, most only use ghost clients hacks. Such as, but not limited to - auto clickers, reach, tracers and the list goes on. There have been so many times I have died to a cheater and lost my hard earned gear, and know I’m not here to bitch about that, but if staff had the ablility to SS most of these hackers would be gone. And I already know there’s going to be staff saying ‘it can take upto an hour of our time, we can’t do that’. And I understand that, however when a player is falsely banned and puts in a appeal, it can takes day for the staff team to give their final response on your appeal, and if it was a false ban the banned player instead of sitting there refreshing the forums could have been playing instead. I’m honestly ranting at this point , but please let me your thoughts, should staff be able to SS?
No support - I feel as though this would put a lot of pressure and stress on the staff team and we really can't be having that, especially with the amount of hackers/offenders we find on a daily basis.
You're really saying that staff false ban legit players, and don't ban closet cheaters? But you think each staff will learn how to properly SS and find good Ghost Clients? Haha funny bro
No support, Only because I know how difficult it can be from a staff members perspective to get them to SS. Yes, screen share would be far more accurate, but with the amount of suspects that could be on the server, it would be a nightmare.
Neutral I wouldn't mind allowing us to do it as long as it's not required. I agree there are some people we all suspect hack, but they never show it well enough for us to say it's undeniable evidence. SS would help in those situations. There would however need to be guidelines for it as it would be annoying for a player to be prompted to SS all the time. For example only SSing someone every Xth day, have Y accusations of them hacking or a reason behind doing a SS before warranting it, etc. etc. So essentially, if it stays how it is now, but we are in some situations allowed to SS, I wouldn't mind it. I feel like it would help some cases of false bans as well as catching more of those under the radar hackers. I think it might be a bit too much work for the small difference it makes though. A ton of rule changes, guidelines, finding out how to teach mods how to do it properly etc. So is it worth the effort is the question.
It doesn't necessarily mean you have SS everyone who hacks. Moderators can use SS as a last resort if they can't tell if the player is hacking.
Neutral. I feel as if we could have verified ss staff to help reduce the amount of training, and false bans.
