if anyone has any ideas with how to deal with this please let me know.

My friend has started to commit self harm. she has little pricks on her skin and scratches which I believe is from her hurting herself. I'm not sure how to deal with this, only because what she has been using it a sharp (hard, thick) piece of paper to slice her skin with. I took the thing away from her, but she could easily move onto something more severe. During class she asked me to take it away from her, and she has told me she suffers from depression and anxiety. Her mom was also diagnosed with rumitoid arthritis about a year ago.

She is a close friend of mine.

I don't know how to approach her or anyone about this.

I’m not really anyone to talk about this as I’m not experienced, so I recommend reading this. https://www.helpguide.org/articles/suicide-prevention/suicide-prevention.htm
Though it’s pretty long, it gives in depth ways to go through with this issue, and tips of how to approach, when, how to respond, etc.

Obviously suicide or suicidal actions are not jokes, not something to be played around with. As it said in there, just go with a gentle approach towards them, and then move onto what’s going on. If they’re being this way, something may be going on in their everyday lives that is causing them to be this way, so try and find that problem and make a way to fix it.

      Hope this helps.

I have a friend who just actually thought for one second today that she was going to commit suicide next year. Usually they need someone who can help professionally. My friend in this case had a certain thing that mae her sad so often they need to usually fix it. I don't think that would work in this situation, but just try to gently tell someone she can get professional help from.

This is not the place to discuss this issue.

Tell someone; tell a professional who can help deal with the problem - getting advice from an online Minecraft forum simply is not the thing to do.
