the solution is instead of just ban them you ip ban them so if they make an alt account a.k.a ban evading there alt will be banned as well because they still hve the same ip address so problem solved
What if someone has a sibling who also likes to play minecraft? You can't prove everything by an ip adress.
i have a brother who plays mineverse and i would hate to get ip banned. THere is a plugin that logs how many accounts have come from 1 ip maybe that then the mods can figure out which are alts.
The staff have an IP tool that enables them to see which accounts share the same IP. If there is someone ban evading, they can track it down to who it is.
You go down, to your modem, a box that looks like the router, and turn it off for 5 mins, and then turn it back on. Bam, new ip. You could also call your service provider and request them to changes. There are also tons of other complicated ways it would work.
Let's not go off-topic. This suggestion will not work, as players could have siblings that enjoy the server also. We wouldn't like to punish both people for one's actions.
In my opinion, IP bans are useless and unfair. As it's been stated, IP's can be changed very easily, and then there can be multiple people per household playing on a server. Don't mean to hate, just what I think.
