This would be a nice addition as it would show people who want to say goodbye to mineverse whether it is permanent or (hopefully) temporary.
No Support Many people post "Goodbye" posts and end up returning a few days later... although this may not always be true, it happens often enough that a section like this would just encourage post farming. Threads like these are already mocked as is; there is no need to dedicate an entire category or sub-category to them... (Example of a Mock Thread: http://www.mineverse.com/threads/im-quitting-mineverse.91408/ ) Reasons I don't support: > Encourage people to leave Mineverse and/or Forums > Attract disrespectful comments > Post Farming > Mock Threads These threads seem to receive a lot of support, which helps to reveal a somewhat common perspective of "GoodBye Threads" on Mineverse (Negative Perspective). (This is only from what I've viewed during my time here though.) Edit:Just a side note: As for showing they can just state their status on their profiles.
I just want to note that the example you used as a goodbye thread was a joke, he wasn't going to leave at all. :p Support anyways.
No support. There's no need for more unnecessary attention-seeking threads. It's easy enough to update your status and profile.
