This is pretty self-explanatory. Why? The PvP community has stayed at 1.7.10 for these reasons: More Popular Better hit detection Block hitting is at a original, more smooth Its the standard for competitive PvP You can keep the server's 1.8, but TacoSpigot, and other custom Jars, offer reverse compatibility. FAQ: Would Depth Strider still work? Yes DepthStrider will work since the server is originally 1.8, but it will state "Unknown" as an enchantment. Can I still connect with 1.8-1.11.2? Yes. Why is it smoother? See for yourself. Benefits? I bargain that this will bring back players, and also tons of new players would join. Mineverse was one of the biggest PvP communities at its golden age. We can bring this back, this is one step of many, but we can make it. A Message to Cypriot: You're an amazing person, server owner, and a very smart guy. Just please listen to the community and have a more broad look. If you want more info on this idea, just PM me. I'm more glad to show you how this works and why this will work.
I feel like you made this thread due to the hit detection on oppvp. As we all know the hit detecting there is awful, but 1.7 compatibility has nothing to do with it. The real reason it is bad is due to the anti cheat. However if the anti cheat was fixed first, I'd support this. However being compatible with 1.7 isn't the first priority.
Neutral, although 1.7 is very easy to control and the animations are a lot more smoother, there's a lot more ghost clients and since most staff don't screenshare and the anti-cheat is awful, it may lead to more problems
No Support. I feel the server is good as it is, and the gamemodes don't need a compatibility for 1.7.
No support. Just get a 1.7.10 pvp plugin. No need to downgrade OP PvP to 1.7.10. Yes, the hit detection is very bad, but 1.7.10 won't fix this. It is good enough anyway.
