Agreed. My suggestion is just temporary because it doesn't look like the sit glitch is getting fixed anytime soon. Might as well remove the quest...
Remove the quest where you have to ride a strider. Riding a strider causes the sit glitch.

It’s tiring but it is possible. I’m not sure what my mining level is but I found that mining gold in the nether makes it go up faster.
If this doesn’t work ^^^ contact a SeniorMod+ and they can try to force teleport you to spawn. @manu:)
